Acting like a progressive socialist democrat, Colin Powell calls George Zimmerman verdict 'questionable'

I used to respect Colin Powell for his integrity and judgement – no longer. Apparently Powell has gone off the deep end, giving aid and comfort to progressive socialist democrats like Barack Obama and his fellow travelers. Some speculate it is because he was abused by the Bush Administration and allowed to sully his pristine reputation when he stood before the United Nations and put false and misleading information on the table.

In the matter of Trayvon Martin, I am biased. I have read some of the transcripts and believe that George Zimmerman was egregiously attacked by a wannabe gangsta’ who wanted to beat someone up. That Zimmerman was a family man, volunteering his time to keep is community safe and free from robbers and thugs. It also turns out that Trayvon Martin was a thug … and a suspect in a residential burglary. He was caught red-handed with jewelry taken from a nearby residential burglary and a burglar’s tool in his position. The night he was walking home, he had purchased two-thirds of the ingredients in a homemade street drug. And, I believe the entire case was misrepresented by the race-hustlers and the mainstream media to promote their radial political agenda that needs a permanently agitated underclass to survive..

Colin Powell calls George Zimmerman verdict 'questionable' -- The former secretary of State urges President Obama to speak out more on issues of race.

Former Secretary of State Colin L. Powell called the jury verdict that cleared the killer of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin "questionable" and urged President Obama to speak more on issues of race.

In an interview that aired Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation," Powell questioned the verdict's impact on the civil rights discourse. In July, a Florida jury found George Zimmerman had acted in self-defense and acquitted him of all charges.

"I think that it will be seen as a questionable judgment on the part of the judicial system down there, but I don't know if it will have staying power," Powell said. "These cases come along and they blaze across the midnight sky and then ... they're forgotten." But he urged Obama to speak out. "I'd like to see him be more passionate about race questions," said Powell, a Republican who endorsed Obama twice. Source: Colin Powell calls George Zimmerman verdict 'questionable' - latimes.com

Bottom line …

Colin Powell should no longer be identified with the Republican Party. He is clearly a democrat by word and deed. As for the Zimmerman trial, he is entitled to his opinion, but I do not believe it is an informed one or a prudent one. I believe that Colin Powell continues to angle for a redemptive position – something that Barack Obama has denied him for years. He certainly was a better candidate for Secretary of State than the self-aggrandizing, do nothing, John Kerry.

Check the facts on both George Zimmerman and Colin Powell and see if you don’t agree with me.
