Gun Control: Disgusting -- President Obama uses Trayvon Martin's corpse as a political platform

I am not shocked that President Barack Obama and his cadre of socialist fellow travelers would use a high-profile political show trial in Florida to misdirect the public’s attention from the blood-soaked streets of his Chicago hometown. I am also shocked that President Obama, a lawyer, did not evaluate the actual evidence as presented and formed a conclusion contrary to the six good and diligent jurors in Florida. But then again, another lawyer, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, also one of Obama’s fellow travelers, came to the same conclusion.

Had George Zimmerman been correctly identified as an Hispanic on the night of the shooting, this violent act would have slipped under the media’s radar and disappeared in the sands of time as do the majority of the minority-on-minority crime that is taking place in our inner cities. In many cases, producing more victims than legitimate wars. And yet, the federal government goes easy on the gangs – domestic terrorists in reality -- that represent a clear and present danger to our nation.

An even sadder truth is that Obama and his cadre want to make you more vulnerable to criminals and crazies by disarming law-abiding citizens and creating a even larger pool of victims who are unable to defend themselves. It is ludicrous to believe that violent gangsta’ thugs would not revert to knives, nail-studded baseball bats, and chains if every gun in the nation suddenly disappeared. Because it is about control: the ability to intimidate others with superior force!

What Obama and his Administration really fear is the Second Amendment, designed to combat the tyranny of the federal government. That some day, the government’s egregious actions will result in an armed rebellion against those who has dishonored, disgraced, and abused their offices.

Undeserved honor?

Here are the words of President Obama. And you will notice that he did not say “Stem the tide of rising gang violence” or acknowledge that a very small percentage of the minority population appears to commit the majority of the gun-related violence.

The White House -- Statement by the President

The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy.  Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America.  I know this case has elicited strong passions.  And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher.  But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken.

I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son.  And as we do, we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities.

We should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis.

We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this.  As citizens, that’s a job for all of us.  That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin.

Excuse me: honor Trayvon Martin?

Did the President and his minions not notice the evidence presented in the Zimmerman trial, and especially the evidence that was withheld from the jury.

The fact that Trayvon’s own comments on social media and his actions marked his as a wannabe gangsta’ thug, familiar with drugs, guns, and yes, the possibility of burglary. He was suspended from school three times prior to the shooting.

Did someone not mention that this self-described gangsta’ tweeting that his mother “kicked” him out of the house and told him to move in with his father? Perhaps his mother has some degree of culpability for putting Trayvon out of the house. And, if she couldn’t control him, where were the authorities. Because apparently the school did not intervene on any number of occasions. Not unusual with older minorities as the schools are busy prosecuting little children playing with imaginary guns. I still want to know where he got the jewelry stash and why the school permitted him to carry a “weapon” – the poor man’s shiv, a screwdriver, on campus?

But this is not the first time the President weighed in on the matter, saying “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.”

Bottom line …

The progressives, especially the socialist democrats, are invested in exploiting high profile cases that serve to promote their corrupt political agenda and simultaneously misdirecting attention from the real scandals taking place under their watch.

For a few moments, the public looked at George Zimmerman being demonized as a monster – when the truth is that our nation needs more George Zimmermans. People who get involved with their communities and try to stem the rising tide of crime.

From the beginning the media was wrong as they portrayed the situation as a white man shoots an innocent black child. Only to learn that the white man was an Hispanic and the black child was neither an innocent nor a child – someone likely to be tried as an adult had the situation been reversed and Martin inflicted grievous injuries on Zimmerman. When the media was proven wrong, they back-pedaled; inventing a new racial class, the white-Hispanic or attempted to mischaracterize the situation saying Zimmerman was a “self-identified Hispanic.” One should consider how the media would have treated the matter had Zimmerman’s first name been Jorge, or had he kept his mother’s maiden name as it is sometimes done in the Hispanic community. No story – just another day like any other day when it comes to minority-on-minority crime.

If President Obama wants to get upset, why isn’t he jumping up and down about the young black girl killed by a gang member in Chicago, blocks away from his former home? She truly was a child and an innocent. And, there are many others. So why did the President jump on the Zimmerman bandwagon? Racial politics and the pursuit of the progressive ideology is the only thing I can think of at this time.

And, having been acquitted by a jury, primarily because the state over-charged the case and did a poor job in prosecution, one wonders if the NAACP and Harry Reid will force corrupt Eric Holder’s  Department of Justice into trying him on a civil rights violation – in effect, a clear case of double jeopardy, by re-branding the alleged criminal activity in a most unconstitutional manner that sees the federal government, once again, usurping the power of the states to prosecute their own criminal acts? Or will Trayvon’s family seek to bring a civil case against Zimmerman, knowing their will be a lesser standard of proof. Something that could be a two-edged sword as more of Trayvon’s personal history could be entered into the record, perhaps portraying him as a gansta’ wannabe, familiar with fighting and physically superior to the older, out of shape, George Zimmerman. Yes, the gun was an equalizer – but then again, that is it’s purpose. To allow people to resist superior force or protect their lives if they believe they are in mortal danger.

Another day in an increasingly corrupt political situation. Something that needs to be remedied in the 2014 congressional election cycle. Time to remove the progressive democrat ideologues and clean up their money-spinning inner cities where the politicians and their special interests divert billions from helping the people—while they simultaneously turn a blind eye to the gang-related crime that is driving the gun-related crime statistics upward.
