The truth about government waste, fraud, and abuse ... they do not care!
When it comes to government bureaucracy, there appears to be little concern for waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer funds. Corrupt politicians have been promising to curb governmental waste for decades, yet it continues stronger and more virulent than before. Similarly, corrupt politicians have been promising to make the United States energy independent, yet we are even more dependent on foreign oil than ever before.
When is the voter who pays taxes going to realize that the government actually has the means and opportunity to curb much of the waste, fraud, and abuse … but lacks the motivation? One, because it might reduce the amount of money and political power that is associated with the expenditure of large amounts of money to the special interests. And two, it would require someone to speak out about their employer as a much-maligned whistleblower.
The truth is that the government knows where most illegal aliens are, they have their phony tax and social security records that are flagged by the government’s computer systems. But, they chose not to take action.
How can the government explain this …

Why the banking lobby demanded Congress allow the use of ITINs …
It is a no-brainer, the banking industry is about making money and to them money has no color, national origin, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Federal rules demand that a depositor or borrower produce a social security number – and when one is not available, it disadvantages the industry. Thus, the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number that looks like a social security number was born. Sold to Congress and the people as encouraging illegal aliens to pay their fair share of taxes. Unfortunately, the negative consequences also enabled fraud on a massive scale. Detectible fraud if the government cared to pursue the matter.
How does the government explain this?
Massage Therapists, Chiropractors Wrote Drug Prescriptions They Shouldn’t Have—and Medicare Paid
In 2009, massage therapists, athletic trainers, chiropractors and other professionals wrote hundreds of thousands of drug prescriptions without the authority to do so.
In some cases these were controlled substances like oxycodone, but Medicare Part D, which covers prescription drugs, paid for them anyway.
A report by the Department of Health and Human Services’ inspector general outlines how, in 2009, Medicare’s prescription-drug benefit paid for prescriptions written by health and health-related professionals who did not have the authority to write them under Medicare’s rules. Prescriptions were written by massage therapists, athletic trainers, dietitians, audiologists, opticians, contractors, home health aides, interpreters, transportation companies, lodging companies, speech-language assistants, music and art therapists, nursing technicians, veterinarians. <Source>
The government has a list of authorized doctors with DEA narcotics license numbers. The pharmacists who filled these prescriptions have access to license numbers. So where are the stories about people going to jail for writing illegal prescriptions and defrauding Medicare?
Bottom line …
We have a corrupt government whose revolving door between industry and government is constantly spinning. How else can you explain that the same people who profited from the near-collapse of the United States economy are the same ones who appear to be profiting from the repair and restoration efforts? Why top government prosecutors are given cushy jobs in top law firms although their credentials and abilities would not command anywhere near their pay levels in an open market. The truth is that it is not what you know, but who you know and can influence in the future that counts. Not that they would openly bribe another individual, but that individual, knowing that their day will come, makes them amenable to finding the loophole, shading the truth, and/or providing a little advance warning about things to come.
We need to reform the tax code and our laws … to eliminate the loopholes, inconsistencies, redundancies, and other arcane loopholes that benefits the professionals, lawyers, accountants, and consultants – and, at the same time disadvantages the citizen, consumer, and taxpayer.

On page 35, line 24 of the new immigration reform bill …
Notwithstanding paragraph (1), nothing in this subsection shall require the Secretary to install fencing, or infrastructure that directly results from the installation of such fencing, in a particular location along the Southern border, if the Secretary determines that the use or placement of such resources is not the most appropriate means to achieve and maintain effective control over the Southern border at such location.
The “paragraph (1)” that new waiver refers to is the one that supposedly “requires” the construction of a fence along the border.
Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall establish a strategy, to be known as the ‘Southern Border Fencing Strategy,’ to identify where 700 miles of fencing (including double-layer fencing), infrastructure, and technology, including at ports of entry, should be deployed along the Southern border,” that paragraph of the bill reads.
This could allow illegal aliens to be granted amnesty, or legalized “Registered Provisional Immigration (RPI)” status, once Secretary Napolitano submits a fencing (and border security) plan to Congress. However, this provision allows Napolitano to decide against building the fence after doing so, with no legal ramifications. <Source>
What it really means is that the government can tell the public and the media one thing, and then ignore it at their will – a will driven by government bureaucrats who see billions in new bureaucracy, special interests who see billions in new contracts, the financial industry seeing billions in new business – AND A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Our government has been subverted and perverted by those who have sold out their constituency, consumers, citizens, and country for a few dollars and political power. Something that must be fixed in 2014 by eliminating corrupt politicians from congress. Starting with the democrats who gave us Obamacare and illegal alien shamnesty. And, those who know that the problems can be solved, but have refused to do so for decades. All to gain or maintain political power and feather their own nests.
