NUCLEAR WEAPONS: PROGRESSIVE CELEBRITIES PROVE TO BE "USEFUL IDIOTS" TO BE MANIPULATED BY OUR ENEMIES
Since the Russian communists managed to steal nuclear weapon technology from the United States, they have also used progressive groups to rally against any form of nuclear weapons, nuclear research, or nuclear energy generation as a means to disadvantage their enemies. Something that continues today.

What is scary is not that these progressive celebrities appear to be “useful idiots” and totally lacking in any sense of reality; but that the progressive group known as Global Zero’s leaders include Chuck Hagel, Obama’s appointee to head the Department of Defense.
The Hagel Nomination and the Dangerous Folly of “Global Zero”
Talking to Al Jazerra, Hagel explained the concept of “Nuclear Zero.” “How can we preach to other countries that you can’t have nuclear weapons but we can and our allies can? There is no credibility, there’s no logic to that argument.”
Problem is: Nuclear weapons are not a question of logic or fairness, but of power. In the hands of certain governments, nuclear weapons are simply too dangerous. In the hands of others—like that of the United States—they produce stability and security.
The Global Zero commission’s line of reasoning was adopted by President Obama as he famously convened his nuclear summit in 2009, urged on by a letter from Hagel himself. Needless to say, the deep cuts in the U.S. nuclear arsenal, negotiated bilaterally with the Russian government in New START during the first Obama term, have done nothing to slow the advance toward nuclear weapons by rogue states.
The devastating cuts to the U.S. arsenal proposed by Hagel and the other Nuclear Zero commissioners—an 80 percent reduction in U.S. nuclear weapons and the eventual phasing out of all short-range nuclear weapons, and the elimination of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and B-52 bombers—would be a disastrous global game-changer. <Source>
Who is behind Global Zero?
Global Zero was launched in socialist-dominated Paris in December, 2008 to call for the elimination of nuclear weapons, starting with deep reductions to the U.S. and Russian arsenals. A review of their supporters and infrastructure is highly progressive. Global Zero’s funding and technology appears to be provided by far-left socialists and managed by the same firm that plays host to the majority of liberal causes.
The Al Jazeera story on Hagel was titled, “Obama defeats the Israel Lobby.” The author, M.J. Rosenberg, is identified as a former “Senior Foreign Policy Fellow with Media Matters Action Network,” the George Soros-funded group.
Hagel appeared on Al Jazeera as a representative of the Global Zero advocacy group. This is significant for two reasons—one of the main funders of Global Zero was the Soros-funded Connect U.S. Fund, and press relations for the group was handled by Trevor FitzGibbon, a former vice president at Fenton Communications who had also supervised media relations and strategy for MoveOn.org.
- MoveOn.org was created as a political force, which used the Internet to save Bill Clinton from impeachment over his lies in the Monica Lewinsky affair and grew into a formidable left-wing organization active in various domestic and foreign issues, such as the Iraq War.
- Fenton Communications represented Soros in 2004 when he spent millions of dollars to defeat George W. Bush for president. The firm has also represented a Who’s Who of the left, including Marxist governments in Grenada and Nicaragua, the communist guerrillas in El Salvador, and CIA defector Philip Agee.
- The Connect U.S. Fund, a project of the Tides Center, provided grants to pro-U.N. groups around the country, in order to create the appearance of public support for more U.S. involvement in the U.N.
“In just a few hours,” the FitzGibbon media website says, “FitzGibbon strategists can transform a client’s news into a story on the front page of Huffington Post, book your principals on MSNBC, and schedule interviews on NPR.”
This helps explain why The Huffington Post ran the article, “Why Chuck Hagel Should Be Secretary of Defense,” on January 7. The client in this case was the author, Rick Jacobs of the Courage Campaign, a new “progressive alliance” designed to push U.S. policies further left. Jacobs chaired Howard Dean’s 2003 presidential campaign in California.
Regardless of what you have been conditioned to think about Senator Joseph McCarthy, odious and corrupt as he was, he was right about one thing. The communist fifth column has infiltrated our government, education, and major institutions.
And, with the rise of Barack Obama and his band of Chicago Communists, representatives of our enemies are not only are invited into the White House, they have become advisors and government leaders.
Bottom line …
Quoting former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, “If we know anything, it is that weakness is provocative.” And as we can plainly see with the Obama Administration, our enemies do not respect President Obama and believe that he is a weak buffoon given to making TelePrompTered speeches and staged news conferences where he lectures, never explains, and refused all but the planted questions. Leading terrorists and others to act with impunity knowing that Obama’s “leading from behind” leadership style is no leadership at all. And, for what it is worth, other than former President Jimmy Carter, he appears to blame America for the world’s ills.
As for the celebrities, they got more face time in front of the media, the applause of their equally ignorant peers, and best of all – they look like they are “people of substance,” transcending the fools, clowns, and entertainers of yore. The fact that they get paid to play other people, speak the words written by others, and feign sincerity should tell you everything you need to know. These are the people who think Fidel Castro is a fine fellow, Che a revolutionary to emulate, and say nothing about the hundreds of millions of people killed in the name of socialism, communism, and progressivism.
A well-armed, strong America is the best deterrent for the safety and security of America and her citizens. Or, as a nuclear Strategic Air Command put it: “Peace is our profession.”
Remember this when you vote in 2014. The choice is simple. America or her enemies. Democrats or freedom.
