Racist Representative Bobby Rush rips Senator Mark Kirk's Gang Arrests proposal as "elitist white boy solution"
The numbers don’t lie – most of the impetus for disarming law-abiding citizens comes from the overwhelming number of weapon-related deaths and injuries from minority gang members in the inner cities. These gang members, domestic terrorists in reality, along with the black gangsta culture, are a clear and present danger to their communities. Of course, socialist Bobby Rush is a promoter of black liberation theology, appears to hate Whites and America. Not surprising since Rush went AWOL from the Army and co-founded the Illinois chapter of the Black Panthers.
Rush, a radical progressive continues to blame poverty, high unemployment, and poor education, while failing to blame the ruling democrats for destroying the black nuclear family with their welfare policies, turning a blind-eye to rampant promiscuity and deadbeat fathers, and single working women with multiple children with multiple fathers that almost guarantees a rough existence. Ask Rush where the billions in assistance actual went and he goes silent – probably knowing it was stolen by his democrat party. No, Rush would rather disarm law-abiding citizens who need a weapon for self protection – enlarging the pool of potential victims, rather than disrespect his core constituency by suggesting that their criminality was out of control.
Bobby Rush rips Mark Kirk’s mass gang arrests proposal as ‘elitist white boy solution’
Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) is highly critical of a proposal by Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) for mass arrests of 18,000 Gangster Disciples, telling the Sun-Times on Wednesday that Kirk’s approach is “headline grabbing” and an “upper-middle-class, elitist white boy solution to a problem he knows nothing about.” One of Kirk’s top priorities is targeting gangs; he has been meeting with law enforcement officials to devise a plan to execute the mass arrests.
Rush’s comments came as Kirk and Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) huddled Wednesday with Zachary Fardon, the nominee for U.S. attorney in Chicago, and urged him to keep fighting public corruption and to redouble the battle against street gangs.
The senators asked Fardon, who is expected to be confirmed by the Senate in the coming months, to put the pressure on Chicago’s largest gang, the Gangster Disciples.
Kirk said at a press conference with Durbin at the Union League Club following the Fardon meeting that he will ask the Senate Appropriations Committee for $30 million “to go after gangs like the GDs . . . and pick the biggest and baddest for a federal effort.”
“I think it’s completely within the capability of the United States government to crush a major urban gang,” Kirk said. “Just think of what the greatest generation did here in Chicago, pretty much crushing the Capone organization.” Rush, asked by the Sun-Times to react to Kirk’s proposal said in a phone interview: “It’s a sensational, headline-grabbing, empty, simplistic, unworkable approach.”
You don’t need $30 million, you need the law enforcement and judicial officials to do their jobs. Not turn a blind eye to gang-violence. It would not surprise me if the gangs are not paying off the politicians and the police and judges-- à la Al Capone’s syndicate style.
If there is $30 million for Congress to spend, better most of it be allocated for “job creation and job training,” to address the gang problem, Rush said. Rush’s House district includes communities plagued by gang violence. He said his criticism of Kirk is “not to excuse their activities.” Rush said an arrest sweep “is not going to work. . . . It is not a law and order, lock ‘em up solution.”
Rush said he would like to talk to Kirk, to “get him to see the bigger picture.” He added, “I am really very upset with Mark” and that Kirk’s approach was an “upper-middle-class, elitist white boy solution to a problem he knows nothing about.” Realizing those were very strong words, a short time later Rush issued a follow-up statement to the Sun-Times to put his remarks in context.
Yeah right Bobby …
It was the democrat’s “bigger picture” that nearly killed our economy by relaxing loan underwriting standards for affordable housing. It was the democrats who imposed strict gun control that kept Chicago citizens from protecting themselves against armed gangs. It was the democrat public employee unions that sucked money out of the city’s treasury. It was the democrats and the teachers unions that are responsible for producing decades functionally illiterate children. You have had decades to solve the problem and you failed as your party stole the city and state blind with your political corruption and thuggish ways.
Kirk’s “current plan does not include the option to create jobs, provide affordable and safe housing, quality health care and improve schools in urban areas, BUT certainly a plan to incarcerate 18,000 black men is elitist. Why is incarceration the sole option instead of rehabilitation which is proven to work and not locking young men up,” Rush said in an email. Rehabilitation of hardened criminals who hone their bodies and skills in gang-controlled prisons. What chance is there for people to break away from the gang culture and influence? It is not the government’s duty to provide any citizen with anything other than the opportunity to prosper. Something that apparently does not exist, by design, in the democrat-controlled inner cities.
Bottom line …
Bobby Rush is a racist who has been in politics for over 20 years – with a steady decline in the welfare of his constituents. If he couldn’t play the race card and talk about “the man,” he would be nowhere. Unfortunately, he is “the man” and every bit as corrupt as any other Chicago machine politician. Don’t get me wrong, Bobby Rush is bright and articulate and had a chance to be a real civil rights leader, it’s just that he is a product of his environment; another corrupt democrat who exploited radical racial socialist politics for his own benefit.

P.S. If you hear Bobby Rush speak, he speaks in a slow, hesitant manner – nothing more than a symptom of his salivary gland cancer.
