This story does not make sense. Why would the LAPD target Asian maternity hotels,” especially citing “possible related crimes” and “planning regulations [that] may have been violated” and totally ignore similar behavior and conditions relating to Mexican illegal aliens?

It is well known that Los Angeles is a sanctuary city – with the politicians and police turning their backs on illegal aliens except in the most egregious gang-related cases. The home of “Special Order 40".”

It is time that Los Angeles get a police Chief who is a professional law enforcement officer that is less a politician and more a police officer. Both former Chief Bratton and current Chief Beck appear to be more about obeisance to the politicians in office than enforcing laws already on the books.

It is well known that pregnant Mexican illegal aliens show up at UCLA’s Ronald Reagan Hospital and other hospitals and medical facilities in the Los Angeles area and their previous locations do not seem to be the subject of investigations. Is this “politically correct” selective enforcement?
