Sixty percent of children in Detroit live in poverty, per the “State of Detroit” report. This represents a 64.7 percent increase in child poverty in the city since 1999. Where has all of the money gone?
Detroit used to be a powerhouse of American industry. That is, until it was laid low by the corrupt socialist unions who demanded more wages, benefits without a corresponding increase in productivity. Producing workrules that demanded certain workers report to work and do nothing but read the newspaper and play games. Hand-in-hand with the unions were the corrupt politicians who siphoned off money meant for revitalizing Detroit’s inner cities and reducing the poverty level.
If the democrats were sincere about “it’s for the children” hooey that they promote, how can they explain this factual finding!
Detroit FBI Announces Multi-Agency Task Force To Combat Corruption
The FBI's Detroit Office declared political corruption a top priority Thursday, as it announced the formation of a new multi-agency task force to fight the problem.
Andrew G. Arena, special agent in charge of the Detroit office, told the Detroit Free Press that the task force would be cracking down on behavior that had become a "generational, systematic part of the culture" of Southeast Michigan.
Although the agency does not comment on specifics of ongoing investigations, it has been involved in several high-profile corruption cases in the region in the last few years.
Earlier this week, FBI agents indicted former Detroit Treasurer Jeff Beasley on charges of extortion related to city pension funds.
The Detroit Department of Human Services is also under investigation by the FBI, and allegations of corruption there have prompted an effort by state officials to try and withhold money from the department. In 2010, the FBI indicted former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick with several counts of fraud and tax evasion on top of the charges for which he served a prison sentence. The agency is also currently engaged in a far-reaching investigation of Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano's administration that was sparked by a severance pay scandal involving former county employee Turkia Mullen.
"I think in nearly 24 years in the FBI, I don't know if I've ever seen anything quite blossom like this, or this much information come to a head so quickly," Arena told Channel 7 News, speaking of that investigation last November. Both Kilpatrick and Ficano had ties to the latter's politically powerful predecessor, Ed McNamara, who died in 2006 while under an FBI corruption investigation related to airport contracts and campaign fundraising. <Source>

Detroit, like President Obama’s powerbase Chicago, is mired in systematic, institutionalized democrat corruption. Something the democrats are trying to spread throughout the country. This is a clear and present warning that the democrats are a danger to America and all Americans.
And, now the democrats want to disarm us, law-abiding citizens – because people in these democrat strongholds, mostly minorities that comprise the democrat powerbase, are killing each other over gang turf and drugs.
Something stinks in the democrat party – starting with President Obama and reaching down to the local school boards and commissions.
