In the dead of the night, legislators passed a 157-page bill to prevent Americans from “falling over the fiscal cliff”–but it is business as usual, a bill filled with irrelevant goodies for special interests …

OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT CONDOLENCE CARD TO THE NEWLY POOR

Many a truth is spoken in jest …

OUR CONDOLENCE ON YOUR RECENT LOSS

To all of you previously nouveau rich individuals who own small businesses, the President of the United States and the United States Congress hope you find comfort and happiness in knowing that your taxes will touch the lives and hearts of so many other major corporations and those who choose not to work.

Now that you are have joined the ranks of the nouveau pauvre, we want you to know that your taxes have given others the gift of happiness and healthcare for the coming years.

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel for you and your family as you struggle to meet your obligations.

We want you to remember, we are the government and we are here to help, support, and do whatever you need done, with thoughts of gratitude, peace and courage for your “fair share” sacrifice.

President Barack Obama

John Boehner, Speaker of the House, and Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader
Congress of the United States

Bottom line …

The truth is that the fiscal cliff was nothing more than an ant hill as seen through the media-complicit magnifying glass of Congress. I can only believe that the legislation which was purportedly designed to cure our out-of-control national debt is a sad joke on the American people by corrupt self-serving politicians. How else can you justify the continuing tax breaks for millionaires and special interests which are hidden in the innocuous legalese?  Why does Goldman Sachs and other wealthy corporations deserve a tax break because their property lies in New York City? Why do NASCAR tracks deserve a tax break when your vehicle expenses are going up?

There is but one explanation, the people who conspired to pass this bill at 2:00 a.m. wanted you to think that the country was going over some metaphorical cliff so you would not raise a stink about higher taxes and no corresponding cuts in government spending.

And if you thought this legislation was helpful, remember it did nothing about the debt ceiling and, oh by the way, it kicked the sequestration provisions to March 31, 2013 when we will see this charade repeated again.

Hopefully, you will put enough pressure on your Republican representatives to flush that spineless crying liberal, John Boehner, out of the Speaker’s Chair. Come to think of it, perhaps we should flush most of the corrupt Congress down the toilet into the sewer where they belong in 2014 along with one-sixth of the corrupt Senate. Personally, I would like to see some of these politicians prosecuted under the RICO Act as members of organized crime.
