The cover-up continues -- Hillary Clinton: Unfit for Public Office -- On the lies told to the American people about Benghazi: "What difference, at this point, does it make?"
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, once again, proved that she is unfit for any public office …
When questioned about the fact that the White House sent United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice on five national news programs with a provably false narrative attributing the 9/11 Benghazi attack to a protest over a video, Clinton replied, “With all due respect, the fact is, we had four dead Americans! Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans?! What difference, at this point, does it make?! It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator.”
Clinton’s comment, “What difference, at this point, does it make?” should be analyzed. As with all cover-ups, the perpetrators hope they can stall long enough so that the subject under scrutiny can be dismissed as “old news” and therefore irrelevant. But Clinton’s comments should not be allowed to stand. The reason it matters is twofold: one, it appears that the Administration deliberately lied to the American people about an attack that resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including our Ambassador to Libya; and two, it perpetuates the cover-up of what really happened in Benghazi.
It is suspected that the Administration is covering-up embarrassing, and possibly criminal, details regarding heavy weapons transfers to militant jihadists through Turkey. Embarrassing because it reminds us of the Administration’s cover-up of the gun-walking of weapons to Mexican drug cartels in the Fast and Furious scandal. And if the arms transfer to the militant jihadists, including al Qaeda, was proven, the criminal charges could ultimately force the impeachment of high government officials.
It is suspected that arms transfers were the reason the U.S. Ambassador was meeting with the Turkish Ambassador prior to the attack. It should also be noted that Iranians had a significant stake in halting these weapons if they were destined for the al Qaeda-led rebels in Syria.
If the Iranians were complicit in the attack, the American outcry could have lead to a strike on Iran – pushing up the timetable for the neutralization of Iran’s nuclear ambitions. It is unclear if the Obama Administration really wants to thwart Iran’s nuclear program as it is apparent that some pro-Palestinian voices in our government believe that a nuclear Iran would provide a counterweight to a nuclear Israel.
Nothing like a little feigned emotion to distract from the real business at hand …
There is nothing “honorable” about any public official that lies to the American public or dismisses wrongdoing with a wave of the hand.
Bottom line
If we cannot trust our public officials to tell the truth, then they do not deserve to hold their office – and as a nation we are doomed. This is not about Benghazi, but preserving the corrupt administration of Barack Obama and not tarnishing Clinton’s reputation should she decide to run for office in 2016. Have a committed socialist and liar as a follow-on to the present committed socialist and liar would be a disaster for the American people.
This will be an ongoing story as Obama and his fellow travelers continue to delay, deny and dissemble when it comes to the 9/11 attack on Benghazi and the deaths of American citizens.
