LAZY BUMS IN SENATE: On our dime, waste time, fail to do real work and put forth unconstitutional drivel about sex ads

The Senate has clearly violated the Constitution of the United States by not producing a budget. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has  stopped the Senate from dealing with important issues, believing that he is much wiser than anybody else in the Senate – the truth is that he is the most corrupt, both ideologically, financially and morally. But instead of addressing real problems like the looming fiscal disaster, these lazy bums are busy passing a non-binding, unconstitutional assault on free speech and commerce.

Senate resolution tells Village Voice to take down 'adult entertainment' section

The Senate passed a resolution Thursday night that calls on the newspaper Village Voice “to act as a responsible global citizen” by taking down its “adult entertainment” section of its classified advertising website.

Lawmakers said that website, Backpage.com, ends up promoting child sex trafficking in the United States.

“The numbers are rising, in part because it has become frighteningly simple to order a child prostitute on the Internet. One merely needs to look at the classified ads on Backpage.com, the leading Web site for prostitution advertising in the United States according to the Advanced Interactive Media, AIM, Group,” Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) said when the resolution was adopted by the Senate. “Just a few clicks on this site easily enables ‘johns’ to purchase children for sex. Law enforcement believes that the existence of Backpage encourages the recruitment of victims for sexual exploitation because it allows traffickers to operate out of sight from police patrols.”

In addition, S. Res. 439 expressed that the Senate supports the efforts of law enforcement agencies to provide training to law enforcement agents on how to identify victims of sex trafficking, investigate cases of sex trafficking, prosecute sex trafficking offenses and rescue victims of sex trafficking. Bottom line …

Is the Senate telling New Yorkers – mostly democrat and liberal by their voting pattern – that they are depraved and require government supervision of their newspapers lest they become bad “global citizens? It is one thing to laud and encourage law enforcement activities, but to tell a newspaper how to run their enterprise is beyond the pale.

They have too much free time at the taxpayer’s expense. The cost too much in terms of the damage they do to the nation. And they act like they know best and can tell everyone how to live their lives. Where is that multi-culturalism, moral equivalency and political correctness that recognizes and respects Islam – where Muhammad had a relationship with a young (some say between 8 and 9 years old) girl?

And why, one may ask, are so many Congress members caught up in sex scandals without rebuke?

It is time to remove those provisions of Congressional rules which exempt their members from certain laws – like profiting from insider trading, shielding evidence in their offices, breaking U.S. laws with impunity and being able to “retroactively” file paperwork when they have broken the law. It is time that the Senate held themselves to account before telling other people and companies how to run their affairs.

It should be noted that government created this artificial financial crisis and can damn well fix it anytime they want – instead of using it for political advantage and plunder the hard work of citizens.
