GUN CONTROL: A MESSAGE FROM THE BRITS TELLING US TO BEWARE OF GUN BANS

Not everyone is a Brit Twit like Piers Morgan. Listen to how a Tony Martin is spending his life in jail for defending himself from thugs …

Tony Martin … A political prisoner of the international socialists who run Britain …

Mr. Martin was originally convicted of murder and jailed for life. The conviction was downgraded to manslaughter on appeal and he was given five years. Mr Martin confronted Mr Fearon and his accomplice, Fred Barras, 16, at his home in Emneth Hungate, Norfolk, late at night in August 1999. He killed the teenager and wounded Mr Fearon in the groin. <Source>

Bottom line …

A prisoner in your own home, beset by thugs, criminals and crazies. Not allowed to defend yourself. Too bad England does not have a Constitution with a Second Amendment. Proves once again how smart our founding fathers were.

2013 Happy New Year from One Citizen Speaking ...

Happy New Year Animated Text and Bubbles; Happy New Year clip art graphics Clipart Animaciones Gratis.

New Year is always about dreams and new beginnings ... A time of stupid resolutions which are impossible to keep and unrealistic dreams that have less probability of than being the sole winner of a $500 million Powerball jackpot.

About those dreams ...

The truth is, that while it might be nice to be a billionaire, very few people can handle the single-mindedness of purpose, the fear that it will all go wrong, the sense that people are interested in your money and not you, and of course, your companion is waiting until they are vested enough to walk away with a significant chunk of your fortune. Charities and others who now invite you to events, hoping that notoriety and peer pressure will open your checkbook in return for a building naming opportunity or fawning media coverage.

Yes, the homes, the cars, the servants and the ability to jump on your own plane -- making your own itinerary and schedule -- might be fun, until the day you realize that you can't simply sit on the couch eating pizza and laying about in your underwear.

In many instances, people who dream about success never realize that they have achieved their dream. Mostly because it is not cast in the form that they imagined. This people who have good health, a steady income and a faithful companion -- may look outward and wonder why they have never achieved their dream.

About those resolutions …

Psychologists are constantly reminding us not to make resolutions that we are not likely to keep in the coming year and only serve to increase stress and frustration.

Therefore, I resolve …

To be more accepting of people for what they are – and not waste my time, energy or money trying to change them.

Barack Obama and his Democrat/Marxist fellow travelers are unlikely to change. Therefore, I will concentrate my energies on exposing their foibles and perfidies and helping to prepare for the 2014 congressional election to win back one-third of the government. Ultimately to win back two-thirds of the government in 2016.

The GOP, run by the Northeastern liberal elites from Ivy League colleges, appears to be hopeless. They have not articulated a conservative platform and have not put forth any attempt at real leadership. I will save my money and support for those local and state candidates which meet my standards. The era of the responsible political party appears to be dead as both parties are neck-deep in promoting special interests in return for campaign contributions and voter support. Corruption, complacency and stupidity abounds, whether it is democrat-flavored or republican-flavored.

The Marxist-unions appear to be the second most dangerous force in America, right after the democrat party which they appear to control. We need to demand that the politician-union conspiracy end now before we are all bankrupt socialists.

To assist in preventing fringe candidates from taking center stage within the GOP and causing another tragic loss with their insistence that the GOP address unwinnable social issues such as abortion, gay rights and the re-imposition of religion into government activities.

To continue to make technology serve my needs …

To change the names of all my folders in my email system using a prefix of 2013. Starting out the year with empty folders and archiving the rest on removable media. (Hint: Don't forget to change your e-mail rules if you use rules to sort your e-mail into categories.)

To remove all of the programs I installed because they sounded cool or promised some benefit which I seem to have forgotten or ignored.

To clean out “My Documents” folder by archiving everything under a sub-folder labeled 2012-history.

To clean off my desktop of unused folders and icons (which should provoke laughter among my friends and others who have seen my screen).

To reduce the number of devices I use to accomplish real work and/or amuse myself.

To clean my desk …

A project best undertaken one folder at a time. I resolve not to print so many hardcopies of electronic files, although I am still afraid of electrocuting myself using a laptop to read in the bathroom.

To re-purpose my Tschokes …

I think that there must be some charity left that would be appreciative of those serviceable things which I now regard as “clutter.” And if not a charity, perhaps someone who is struggling and can find benefit in things I no longer use.

To take more time off …

For those who know me, I can work anywhere and am most likely thinking about something other than my immediate surroundings. I have never succeeded in turning off the flow of ideas – but perhaps I can staunch the flow.

And most of all …

To appreciate what I have and to share it with those I care about and who care about me.

GUN CONTROL: THE THEATER SHOOTING STOPPED BY A SINGLE ARMED PERSON

While the Aurora Theater Shooting in Colorado had tragic consequences, here is another theater shooting that had a positive outcome. The gunman was stopped cold by armed intervention.

Movie-goers in the lobby, bathroom, and some theaters reported hearing multiple gunshots. The gunshots caused people inside the theater to panic. "Everybody was just coming out of the side of the theater, running out the emergency exits. And everyone was screaming and running," a woman who was at the theater told us. Authorities said one person was shot by Garcia.

Garcia was finally stopped by an off-duty Bexar County Sheriff's Department officer who was working security at the theater. Officials said the officer, Sgt. Lisa Castellano, heard the gunfire inside the theater and ran towards the sound of the shooting to find out what was going on. Sgt. Castellano spotted Garcia coming out of a bathroom with his gun drawn and fired at him, shooting him four times.

Deputy shoots gunman at San Antonio movie theater

SAN ANTONIO -- A man was shot by an off-duty deputy after investigators say he opened fire at a South Side theater Sunday night, injuring one person. Authorities said 19-year-old Jesus Manuel Garcia showed up at the China Garden restaurant on Southwest Military Drive around 9:30 p.m. Sunday and opened fire. Investigators say Garcia works at the restaurant and believe the shooting may have had something to do with the breakup with his girlfriend, who also works at the restaurant. The girlfriend was not at the restaurant at the time of the shooting.

The employees inside the restaurant fled out a side door into the parking lot. Investigators said Garcia began chasing the employees and continued firing at them as they ran through the parking lot and into the Mayan Palace Theatre next door.

As Garcia was running through the parking lot, he shot the windshield of a San Antonio Police patrol car after an officer in the car shined a spotlight on him. The officer was not injured.
Garcia then ran inside the movie theater, where he continued his search for the restaurant employees.

Castellano spotted Garcia coming out of a bathroom with his gun drawn and fired at him, shooting him four times.

"The officer involved, she took the appropriate action to try to keep everyone safe in the movie theater," Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Detective Lou Antu said.

An off-duty San Antonio Independent School District officer who was also at the theater helped take Garcia into custody.

The man who was shot by Garcia was taken to a hospital and is said to be in stable condition.

Garcia has since undergone surgery and is in stable condition at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC). He has been charged with attempted capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond has been set at $10 million. Bottom line …

An armed person in the right place at the right time saved the lives of a number of people. It is your choice whether to become a dead or injured victim or the one that protects your own lie, the lives of your family and the lives of your neighbors.

ISLAM: HERDING EGYPTIAN JEWS BACK TO THE SLAUGHTER?

How freaking stupid do you have to be to leave a stable democracy where opportunity abounds to return to an uncertain future with a dictator who represents radical Islam – the type of Islam that wants to wipe your adopted country off the map?

Muslim Brotherhood to Egyptian Jews: Come back

Essam al-Erian, deputy head of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party, called on Egyptian Jews to leave Israel to the Palestinians and return to their own homeland.
"Their presence in Palestine contributes to the Zionist occupation of Arab lands, and every Egyptian has the right to live in his country — nobody can deny that," Erian said during an interview on the privately operated Dream TV on Thursday. ...

"Egyptian Jews should refuse to live under a brutal, bloody and racist occupation stained with war crimes against humanity," Erian said. Source: Muslim Brotherhood to Egyptian Jews: Come back | Times 247

But then again, this is most likely a propaganda ploy to demonstrate how radical Islamic barbarians are peaceful and tolerant. Yeah Right! Even the name “Freedom and Justice” party is an insult to any intelligent human being who can see with their own eyes what is going on in Egypt.

GUN CONTROL: VIDEO SEND UP OF "DEMAND A PLAN HYPOCRITE LIBERAL MILLIONAIRE CELEBRITIES" SHOWING THEIR VIOLENT ON-SCREEN ACTS

WARNING ADULT LANGUAGE & VIOLENCE – COURTESY OF THE LIBERAL HOLLYWOOD ELITES WHO WANT TO DISARM YOU!

Liberal Hollywood Hypocrites Make Millions from Violence …

For them, portraying violence of action is their right as ARTISTS – to make millions depicting the type of violence that warps young minds and desensitizes youngsters to the real damage caused by violence. And then they have nerve to self-promote themselves in the media as caring activists who want to tell you how to live your lives.

They have bodyguards, gated communities, sophisticated protection and travel in private jets. They are insulated by their wealth and power from the problems that plague us all.

Next time these liberal “elites” open their mouths … ask yourself who protects YOU from the criminals and crazies they portray?

GUN CONTROL: WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THOSE WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND NOR RESPECT THE SECOND AMENDMENT?

I have noticed that more and more people are buying into the socialist dream of dismembering and disarming the United States Constitution by declaring that it should be a “living document” that changes with the times. More specifically, the Second Amendment is outdated because our Founding Fathers did not contemplate the lethality of modern arms.

My best friend Al pointed to a telling exchange between two letter writers in the Whidbey News-Times located in ultra-liberal Washington State that illustrate the issue.

The first letter was from Ronald Cope of Oak Harbor, Washington …

Need to do something about gun control | Letters -- December 21, 2012

As I listen to yet another description of an American school shooting, I am awestruck that the country I love and live in is unable to appreciate the fact that our “gun culture” is making us the industrialized nation most victimized by gun violence in the world.

Equally puzzling is our inability to realize that an amendment to our constitution written in far different times is of little or no relevance to today’s society and needs extensive revision to make it applicable.

<edited for length>

Ronald M. Cope, Oak Harbor <Source: Need to do something about gun control | Letters - Whidbey News-Times>

It appears that Mr. Cope does not understand human nature nor is he able to understand the nature of victimization.

Stronger individuals have always preyed on weaker individuals since the dawn of time. Whether to secure water, food, shelter, a mate or any other resource, there were those who simply – by means of force – took what they wanted with little or no regard for the consequences.

Even now, in a nation of laws, we find the same human behavior but with different means, some legal, some not. That is human nature. That there will always be criminals and crazies who will commit heinous acts for their own twisted reasons is also human nature. The weapon used is almost irrelevant as we have seen multiple murders with knives, fire, explosives, vehicles and anything else which can be turned into a lethal weapon. That, too, is human nature: use the weapon at hand. If one weapon is removed from easy access, use another.

There is little or no deterrence in virtually meaningless “gun control laws,” especially when those who enforce the laws believe criminals and others are “victims of society” and should be granted lenient treatment. Passed by politicians who are unable to pass effective criminal laws because they might have a disproportionate impact on those who represent their power base and vote, year-after-year to return these miscreants to political office.

A telling example: The greatest widespread test of gun control occurs in the democrat-controlled murder capital of the United States, Chicago, Illinois – at least 500 gun-related deaths in 2012 in a municipality with strict gun control laws. Any rational individual will note the futility of banning so-called scary-looking assault rifles or other semi-automatic weapons. The criminals and crazies will turn to revolvers with speed loaders. And after those are banned, home-made zip guns. Anything to access a weapon that allows them to intimidate or harm another individual. Do these liberals not understand cause and effect? You disarm the population and you create a larger group of potential victims. Whoops – that’s the plan – build a reliance on government protective services and cede your freedom to the state. The socialist dream.

Not everybody is taking Cope’s position on the Second Amendment without protest …

Start reading America’s history | Letters -- December 28, 2012

Editor,

After reading Ronald Cope’s letter to the editor, my first response was a broadside retaliation, but after cooling off for a while, I realized that was exactly what he wanted.

It a long standing liberal tactic to draw people into an emotional argument when you don’t have facts or reason to back you up.

As far as the Second Amendment, exactly what is irrelevant?

Is it the part where I defend myself?

Or defend my family?

Is it irrelevant to defend you?

The Second Amendment is what keeps the other 26 amendments, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence in place, protecting you from having your property confiscated, allows you to say anything you want when you want, keeps you out of prison because some petty bureaucrat doesn’t like something about you.

Maybe you should read the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to see the past and current relevance in them.

The United States is under attack from “progressive” liberals who are educated far beyond their intelligence, even further from wisdom, distant from lessons in history and are horribly determined to repeat failures the founding fathers’ extreme efforts tried to prevent from reoccurring.

Mr. Cope is solidly a “progressive” in my opinion, so my advice is, paraphrased, “be careful what you wish for, you might get it.”

If you like, I can drop off a Constitution/Bill of Rights/Declaration for him to get acquainted with, say, at the newspaper office. I’ll even toss in a Washington state Constitution.

Rick Kiser, Oak Harbor

<Source: Start reading America’s history | Letters - Whidbey News-Times>

It appears Rick Kiser understands not only the value of the United States Constitution and its Second Amendment, but also Edmond Burke's dictum, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." With the socialist infiltration of our educational institutions, our history is being replaced by a multi-cultural, politically correct revisionist history that adopts the principle of moral equivalence. Where there are no absolutes, only shades of gray, between good and evil, right and wrong. Where long-standing and time-tested principles and freedoms men and women have died to defend should be cast aside and our founding documents rewritten to serve the immediate needs of corrupt politicians as they pander to a malignant ideology and convey unearned privileges on their special interest friends.

Truth-be-told, these liberal elites have been educated beyond their intelligence – parroting spoon-fed doctrine as if it were the truth. Lazy people who assume people in authority are not corrupt and have the best wishes of the nation uppermost in their minds. They live in a world where political speeches are equated to action. A world where closing your eyes to evil is to live a better life.

A life best lived by attempting to plead with a criminal or crazy, groveling on the ground for your life, than to take definitive action and kill the bastard who is trying to kill you, your family, your neighbors or your nation. The only thing that has changed over time is not the need for the Second Amendment, but for liberals to understand how our precious freedoms are slowly slipping from our hands and being usurped by the state. To get back the guts it took to tell King George to bugger off and risk everything to protect their God-given rights. To do the very same thing we ask our military to do – honor the pledge to protect America, “one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Bottom line …

The only victims in America are those who refuse to defend themselves and allow themselves to become victims. And I am not just talking about victims of crazies and criminals, but victims of corrupt self-serving political sociopaths who are willing to pursue their own twisted ideology at the cost of denying Americans their God-given rights to self-defense and the protection against government tyranny envisioned by our Founding Fathers.

People like Rick Kiser understand what is happening in America today – with the assault on the Constitution -- and are willing to speak out in public against those people who have become misguided, deluded and dysfunctional. People like Ronald Cope, who professes love of country, and yet is so willing to sacrifice the principles on which it is founded for political expediency.

There are but a few things to remember. The difference between good and evil. The difference between right and wrong. The fact that not every person has your best interests at heart and that self-defense is a God-given unalienable right as well as the freedom to do that which does not hurt your neighbor.

GUN CONTROL: DEMAND LICENSE CHECKS FOR DUIs BEFORE PURCHASING OR CONSUMING ALCOHOL

To stop mass deaths, ban or control alcohol – or in the alternative, check drivers licenses for prior convictions and medical records for drug-alcohol interactions …

Given that democrats are trying to legislate morality in the face of common sense proof that the registering and confiscation of lawful weapons from law-abiding citizens does nothing to deter crazies and criminals, I propose that we demand such feel-good morality legislation be applied to those who consume alcohol. The subject, presumed by the government to be a potential “bad actor,” must have their driver’s licenses scanned before the can purchase alcohol at stores and in public eating and entertainment venues. People with previous DUIs would have their drinks counted and officially noted. People with prescription drugs will have drug-alcohol interactions checked.

The inconvenience to the mass of law-abiding citizens forced to provide their identification for a background check is nothing when it comes to saving lives.

Here is the science (Courtesy of Mothers Against Drunk Driving)  …

In 2010, 211 children were killed in drunk driving crashes. Out of those 211 deaths, 131 (62 percent) were riding with the drunk driver. (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. “Traffic Safety Facts 2010: Alcohol Impaired Driving” Washington DC: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 2011.)

Almost half of all drivers who were killed in crashes and tested positive for drugs also had alcohol in their system. Johnston, L. D., O'Malley, P. M., Bachman, J. G., & Schulenberg, J. E. (2011). Monitoring the Future national survey results on drug use, 1975-2011. Volume I: Secondary school students (NIH Publication No. 10-7584). Bethesda, MD: National Institute on Drug Abuse, 734 pp

About one-third of all drivers arrested or convicted of driving while intoxicated or driving under the influence of alcohol are repeat offenders. (Fell, Jim. “Repeat DWI Offenders in the United States.” Washington, DC: National Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Traffic Tech No. 85, February 1995.)

Over 1.41 million drivers were arrested in 2010 for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. (Federal Bureau of Investigation, “Crime in the United States: 2010”)

Driving under the influence of alcohol was associated with age in 2010. The rate was highest among persons aged 21 to 25 (23.4 percent). An estimated 5.8 percent of 16 or 17 year olds and 15.1 percent of 18 to 20 year olds reported driving under the influence of alcohol in the past year. Beyond age 25, these rates showed a general decline with increasing age. (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. “Results from the 2010 National Survey on Drug Use and Health: Summary of National Findings.” September 2011.)

In fatal crashes in 2010, the highest percentage of drunk drivers was for drivers ages 21 to 24 (34 percent), followed by ages 25 to 34 (30 percent) and 35 to 44 (25 percent). (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. “Traffic Safety Facts 2010: Alcohol Impaired Driving” Washington DC: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 2011.)

Gun Control: Now if we are being rational, we would concentrate our efforts on inner city areas with large Black populations as a test case …

While there is no community immune from gun-related violence, how does one account for the fact that the majority of gun-related violence occurs in municipalities controlled by democrats and areas with a predominantly minority population and are most associated with gang, drug or criminal activities?

  • In 2008, 2,947 children and teens died from guns in the United States and 2,793 died in 2009 for a total of 5,740—one child or teen every three hours, eight every day, 55 every week for two years.
  • The number of preschoolers killed by guns in 2008 (88) and in 2009 (85) was nearly double the number of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in 2008 (41) and 2009 (48).
  • Black children and teens accounted for 45 percent of all child and teen gun deaths in 2008 and 2009 but were only 15 percent of the total child population.
  • Black males 15-19 were eight times as likely as White males of the same age and two-and-a-half times as likely as their Hispanic peers to be killed in a gun homicide in 2009.
  • The leading cause of death among Black teens ages 15 to 19 in 2008 and 2009 was gun homicide. For White teens 15 to 19 it was motor vehicle accidents followed by gun homicide
in 2008 and gun suicide in 2009.
  • Of the 116,385 children and teens killed by a gun since 1979, when gun data by age were first collected, 44,038 were Black. <Source>

The fact is that while blacks make up only 12 percent of the population, they account for 46 percent of total violent crime and 90 percent of the murders of other blacks. It is they, not whites or gun manufacturers, who are responsible for the disproportionate gun deaths of young black males.

Firearms don’t kill people. Sociopaths do. It takes a human brain to pull the trigger. If young black males abuse firearms in an irresponsible and criminal fashion, why should the firearm industry be held accountable? Why not their parents? Why not themselves?

Unfortunately, as a nation we have become so trapped in the melodrama of black victimization and white oppression that we are in danger of losing all sense of proportion. If blacks are oppressed in America, why isn’t there a black exodus? Why do all those black Haitians want to come here? To be oppressed? <Source>

Without being racist, might I suggest the facts indicate that President Barack Obama should implement a phased trial by declaring the inner cities a “gun free” zone and requiring the registration of all guns in the area. Damn – I forgot – the City of Chicago already does that!!!

Chicago police confirm 'tragic number' of 500 homicides

Chicago reached “a tragic number” today, according to Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy: Its homicide total for the year hit 500, the highest annual total since 2008.
The city's latest homicide occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday when Nathaniel T. Jackson, 40, an alleged gang member with a lengthy arrest record, was gunned down outside a store in the Austin neighborhood.

As of Thursday night, homicides were up 17 percent over last year in Chicago and shootings had increased by 11 percent, according to police statistics. Earlier this fall, Chicago already exceeded the number of homicides that occurred last year, but this is the first time the city has had 500 or more murders since the 512 in 2008. <Source>

Bottom line …

The democrats are about control – political control and disarming those who might rebel if their regime took a turn towards tyranny, as anticipated in the Constitution’s Second Amendment. They believe you can legislate morality (although they do nothing about the preponderance of single Black Mothers with multiple children from multiple – and largely irresponsible Black Fathers) and that saying something in a speech makes it so.

There is no way to detect or deter all of the crazies and the criminals in this nation. And you don’t get better results by disarming the population and preventing them with meeting force with force. And that includes scary-looking, but semi-automatic rifles. If gun control actually worked, how do you explain minority deaths in Chicago?

Folks, it is not about hunting or the sporting use of firearms, it is about protecting ourselves from the violent crazies and criminals – especially in a natural disaster where “offical help” is elsewhere. It is about protecting us from government tyranny that poses a clear and present danger of us losing our freedom.

There is a reason why the United Nations, China, Russia and Mexico want us disarmed – and to remove the one thing that makes us an exceptional bulwark against socialism and communist with their totalitarian dictators and despots the progressive democrats honor: Fidel Castro, Che, Hugo Chavez.

Better we impeach the President on lack of eligibility for office than  allow him to disarm law-abiding Americans with no proof that it will do anything other than may free citizens weaker and more vulnerable to the criminals and crazies.

UNION SABOTAGE IN PHILADELPHIA CHURCH BUILDING SHOULD BE CONSIDERED DOMESTIC TERRORISM!

It is time that we stop treating union activities as sabotage and treating them for what they really are: acts of domestic terrorism carried out by socialist-affiliated organizations.

Phila. police tie construction-site arson to union sabotage

The site where Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting is building a new meetinghouse was damaged by arsonists during Christmas week, and police are now "absolutely" sure the attack was the result of a dispute between members of a Philadelphia construction union and the project's nonunion contractor.

If union members were involved, the attack would be the second violent incident in Philadelphia this year related to the use of nonunion construction workers. This spring, union protesters clashed with nonunion workers renovating the former Goldtex factory tower at 12th and Wood Streets for Post Bros., an apartment developer.

Police nevertheless believe that it is unlikely that a random vandal carried out the attack on the Chestnut Hill site, where the steel outline of the future meetinghouse is visible. The vandals used an acetylene torch, which requires a skilled operator who must wear a special mask and gloves.

Employees arriving for work Dec. 21 said they found the site in disarray. The cab of a large, mobile building crane had been completely burned. Vandals had also used the torch to shear off the steel bolts on nearly a dozen columns. Three others were hacked halfway through at the base, as if someone were trying to cut down a tree.

"I don't think this was a spontaneous group of kids who did this," he said during a tour of the site Friday. "We're really talking about the bad behavior of union bullies." He estimated that the cost of the damage could run over $500,000.

His company, Abington-based E. Allen Reeves, is one of many suburban firms that maintains an open shop, hiring both union and nonunion subcontractors. He said he had tangled with union members over his hiring practices.

Obama hopes to enact new gun-control measures in 2013 -- Time to DEMAND President prove eligibility by releasing all relevant records or be impeached!

There comes a time when governmental tyranny rears its ugly head and the government defies the Constitution. Any attempt to control and confiscate weapons contrary to the Second Amendment is such a violation.

Considering the number of public lies the President has told on Benghazi, his claim of executive privilege in Fast and Furious, the violations of the Constitution in Obamacare and an outright refusal to prove eligibility for office – it is now time that the American people demand that the members of the House formally investigate Barack Hussein Obama’s eligibility for office as required under their oath of office that demands they preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. There is sufficient proof to make a prima facie case that the President of the United States was complicit in the apparent forgery of the birth certificate which appeared on the White House Web Site and his failure to allow the real document – as well as his other relevant records – to be examined should be considered an Obstruction of Justice.

Without such eligibility verification, all Executive Orders by this President should be deemed provisional or unlawful.

Obama hopes to enact new gun-control measures in 2013 -- President Obama on Sunday said he would make gun control a priority in his new term, pledging to put his “full weight” behind passing new restrictions on firearms in 2013.

Gun Control: The Brit Twit Piers Morgan has made my day: "I may deport myself"

Please, buy another gun and vote against any gun control. Maybe the Brit Twit will self-deport as threatened in the article below. <My comments in blue italic>

Deport me? If America won't change its crazy gun laws... I may deport myself says PIERS MORGAN

I have fired guns only once in my life, on a stag party to the Czech capital Prague a few years ago when part of the itinerary included a trip to an indoor shooting range. For three hours, our group were let loose on everything from Magnum 45 handguns and Glock pistols, to high-powered  ‘sniper’ rifles and pump-action shotguns. It was controlled, legal, safe and undeniably exciting. But it also showed me, quite demonstrably, that guns are killing machines. <Stag party? Were you under the influence?>

The Sandy Hook massacre brought back such horribly vivid memories for me of Dunblane, the worst mass shooting in Britain in my lifetime.

I was editor of the Daily Mirror on that day back in 1996 and will never forget the appalling TV footage of those poor Scottish mothers sprinting to the small primary school, many already howling with anguish at the thought of what might have happened to their five-year-old children. It was a slaughter so senseless, so unspeakable, that it reduced even hard-bitten news reporters, including me, to tears.

The gun-lobby logic dictates that the only way to defend against gun criminals is for everyone else to have a  gun, too. Teachers, nurses, clergymen, shop assistants, cinema usherettes – everyone must be armed. To me, this is a warped, twisted logic that bears no statistical analysis and makes no sense. Do you fight drug addiction with more cocaine? Alcoholism with more Jack Daniel’s? Of course not.

But woe betide anyone who dares suggest this. In the days following Sandy Hook, I interviewed a number of gun-rights representatives and grew increasingly furious as they  trotted out these hackneyed old  disingenuous lines.

Finally, I erupted at one of them, a man with the unfortunate name of Larry Pratt, who runs the Gun Owners of America lobbying group. ‘You,’ I eventually declared, ‘are an unbelievably stupid man.’

And that was the catalyst for the full wrath of the gun lobby to crash down on my British head.

A petition was created on an official White House website demanding my deportation for ‘attacking the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution’. This, of course, is the one that alludes to an American’s ‘right to bear arms’.  The concerted effort to get me thrown out of the country – which has so far gathered more than 90,000 signatures – struck me as rather ironic, given that by expressing my opinion I was merely exercising my rights, as a legal US resident, under the 1st Amendment, which protects free speech.

My campaign against America’s gun laws didn’t begin two weeks ago when Adam Lanza committed his carnage. It began a week before I went on air for CNN, in January 2011. A US Congresswoman called Gabby Giffords was shot in the head by another deranged young man at an outdoor event in Tucson, Arizona, and miraculously survived. Six others, including a nine-year-old girl, were murdered.

My argument with guns is not based on some universal, pathological hatred of them. I’m not a pacifist. Guns win necessary wars and defeat tyrannical regimes like the Nazis.  Nor do I have a problem with those who use guns for hunting or for sport. I also understand, and respect, how there is an inherent national belief in America, based on their understanding of the 2nd Amendment, that everyone should be allowed to have a gun at home for the purposes of self-defence. <You just can’t have an effective weapon against better-armed hoodlums, thieves, rapists and home invasion killers.>

But where I have a big problem is when the unfortunately ambiguous wording of the 2nd Amendment is twisted to mean that anyone in America can have any firearm they want, however powerful, and in whatever quantity they want.

This has led to the absurd scenario where I can’t legally buy six packets of Sudafed in an American supermarket, or a chocolate Kinder egg, or various French cheeses, because they are all deemed a health risk.  Yet I can saunter into Walmart – America’s version of Tesco – and help myself to an armful of AR-15 assault rifles and magazines that can carry up to 100 bullets at a time.

I will not stop in my own efforts to keep the gun-control debate firmly in people’s minds, however much abuse I’m subjected to.

And let me say that for every American who has attacked me on Twitter, Facebook or Fox News this past week, I’ve had many more thank me and encourage me to continue speaking out – including one lady who came up to me in Manhattan just before Christmas, grabbed my arm, and said firmly: ‘I’m with you. A lot of us are with you.’

In conclusion, I can spare those Americans who want me deported a lot of effort by saying this: If you don’t change your gun laws to at least try to stop this relentless tidal wave of murderous carnage, then you don’t have to worry about deporting me.

Although I love the country as a second home and one that has treated me incredibly well, I would, as a concerned parent first – and latterly, of a one-year-old daughter who may attend an American elementary school like Sandy Hook in three years’ time – seriously consider deporting myself. Bottom line …

If it weren’t for guns, especially the French assault rifle of the time, we would still be under the control of the worthless, inbred British Monarchy and forced to listen to Brit Twits like Piers Morgan.

Perhaps we won’t really have to deport him, he will be summoned home to give testimony – and possibly be held accountable – for his alleged role in the widespread violation of the privacy rights of celebrities, politicians, law enforcement people and ordinary citizens who saw their phone tapped or compromised by Brit Twit Journalists like Piers Morgan.

CNN Keeping Mum About Piers Morgan Hacking Allegations -- Network hasn't covered story about its anchor

CNN hasn't been shy about covering the phone hacking related woes of News Corp., parent of rival news network Fox News. It's devoted more than 100 segments to the scandal, according to liberal press watchdog Media Matters. But there’s one angle the network hasn’t gone anywhere near yet: questions concerning CNN prime-time host Piers Morgan’s previous life as a tabloid editor, and allegations that, when he ran the U.K.'s Mirror from 1995-2004, he may have approved of some hacking of his own. (Morgan also served as editor of the News of the World, the now-defunct paper at the center of the scandal.)

Adweek asked CNN to confirm that so far, no airtime has been dedicated to reporting the Morgan-related side of the hacking story. A spokesperson confirmed as much, saying that the network hasn’t covered the matter because Morgan has not been officially called to

As for the hacking allegations themselves, in a statement provided to Adweek, CNN referred to an interview Morgan gave on the CBS daytime program The Talk on Monday, in which Morgan said, “The papers I edited always operated within the law.” <Source>
