Barack Obama is an illusion, an elitist who does not seem inclined to mingle with the people – or his fellow politicians – if he can avoid it. A man so lazy (no code word intended) that he will outsource all of the heavy lifting to others – taking credit for what works, shunning that which doesn’t work and throwing associates under the bus as he attempts to avoid criticism.

One might conclude from the past presidential election that the nation’s character has changed. It is both demographically and psychologically different. It is almost as if a great percentage of the country wants to share the suffering under a corrupt, incompetent president who needs a TelePrompTer to sound presidential – mouthing the spin-tested words of others.

What has this president accomplished? Congressional democrats created his signature achievement, Obamacare, behind closed doors with the assistance of socialist foundations and industry lobbyists. A legislative bill so poorly crafted that it consisted of little more than a 2000+ page outline that would bring one-sixth of the nation’s economy under stricter government control. No input or amendment was allowed to the republicans. The actual bill, which was read by virtually no legislator before voting, was passed only by bribing certain key legislators in return for their vote. Morally reprehensible and a fundamentally dishonest act by the democrats.

Now we are facing an artificial financial crisis – created by congressional democrats for the sole purpose of expanding taxation and consolidating their party’s power. Watch as the try to gut the Constitution’s Second Amendment as they tip perilously close to the type of tyranny that saw our founding fathers take up arms to prevent. The time is rapidly coming when our nation will be engaged in a civil war – not over slavery, but over entitlements which allows a protected political class to become immune from the financial conditions that affect us all. They will have guaranteed employment, guaranteed high salaries, guaranteed healthcare – and allowed to retire on full salaries as if they were still productively (a joke) working for the government. All at the expense of the private sector. The producers and the productive will be bled dry until the day of revolt comes.

Maybe not as an armed insurrection, but an erosion of will – where it is no longer profitable to work hard for what wants, to take it easy and join the government dole. Or become a special interest, leveraging campaign funding and voter support in return for special interest pork. To be hidden in foreign countries – as do the wealthier politicians – until times are better.

Bottom line …

Little more needs to be said about Barack Obama and his fellow travelers. And nobody could have said it better than Winston Churchill.
