More “True Lies” from Arnold Schwarzenegger?
Schwarzenegger, the narcissist who “wings it” and has little or no regret for what he did as the Governor of the State of California still believes he has a political future. Perhaps among the socialists whose environmental policies he embraced, but certainly anyone with even a modicum of common sense. He is the epitome of the “do what I say, don’t do what I do” limousine liberal who demands movie star treatment while doing the people’s business.
The facts are there for everyone to see …
- He claimed to be a post-partisan politician, but immediately abandoned his party to move towards his wife’s Kennedy-liberal (also rich limousine liberals who demand special treatment) politics.
- Overlooking qualified republicans to appoint a long-time, uber-liberal, lesbian as his chief of staff.
- Refusing to meet with republican politicians and arranging for a massive tax hike by promising the six turncoat republicans who voted for the measure additional political perks and privileges. Witness that one, Able Maldonado, actually became California’s Lieutenant Governor for selling out his constituency.
- He decried the constant fund-raising and political pandering that saw former Governor Gray Davis recalled by the people of California. And then outdid Davis in both fundraising and pandering to the special interests. Even to the point of using lobbyist-funded special foundations to pay for his lavish lifestyle, private jet and royal travels abroad with a full security detail.
- But worst of all – he cut a deal as a political favor to another corrupt California democrat politician to reduce his son’s prison sentence when the perp should have been tried for murder. The perp pled out – knowing that the fix was in and that his bragging “my dad will fix it” was literally true.
Schwarzenegger says he's still a credible voice in U.S. politics
Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Sunday he doesn’t think the scandal over his affair with a family housekeeper has cost him credibility as a high-profile political voice in the nation.
“I don’t think so, but let me tell you, if the people are angry at me, I deserve that,” Schwarzenegger said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “There was a major screw-up. … I’ve hurt my wife. I’ve hurt the kids. I think they went through a lot of pain because of that and I take the responsibility.” Schwarzenegger has been doing TV interviews to promote his new autobiography, “Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story.” <Source: Schwarzenegger says he's still a credible voice in U.S. politics - latimes.com>
Bottom line …
I really don’t care that he screwed his maid, screwed-over his wife – but I do care that he screwed Californians and now believes he should be able to do it to some other constituency. This man is not a politician, he is a jumped-up actor who believes his own press.
