TSA PLANS TO UNIONIZE: A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO AMERICAN CITIZENS

Don’t touch my junk …

The rallying cry of the latest public outrage directed against the TSA (Transportation Security Administration), a division of DHS (Department of Homeland Defense).

Inspired by Jon Tyner, a traveller who refused to go through the full-body scanner and refused an alternate pat-down when he found out that the screener may touch his “private areas.”

Here is the story as recorded on his cellphone …

The resulting uproar has the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Defense apparently lying to the public …

“AIT machines are safe, efficient, and protect passenger privacy. They have been independently evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, who have all affirmed their safety,” she wrote, and added: “All images generated by imaging technology are viewed in a walled-off location not visible to the public. The officer assisting the passenger never sees the image, and the officer viewing the image never interacts with the passenger. The imaging technology that we use cannot store, export, print or transmit images” <Source>

There is no doubt that Napolitano is lying to the public.  The AIT (Advanced Imaging Technology) does have the capability to store, export, print and transmit images. If for no other reason than to provide documentary proof in a court of law as to probable cause for a more invasive search and, as we have heard on several occasions, for training purposes.

Since the machines are capable of creating a “near naked” representation of the subject being scanned, it is overly-intrusive. Not to mention that the effects of the radiation being emitted on humans has not been well studied. For those wishing to read the Johns Hopkins’ Report, a leaked copy can be found on Cryptome. (You will need a method to unzip the file and a PDF viewer to read it.) An October 12th, 2010 letter to President Obama’s Chief Science Adviser, John Holdren, can also be found here.

But as bad as the situation appears to be, there are worse unintended consequences down the road …

With the growing uproar of the public and the increasing frustration of the TSA personnel forced to carry out these procedures, far-left advocates of Marxism are urging the democrats to allow the TSA to be unionized at this current lame duck session.

Not only with this provide the unions with the power to cripple holiday travel to extort wage concessions from the public, but it will also provide a mechanism for “those who do not wish us well” to insert their hooks into the very security mechanism that is ostensibly designed to protect us.

The unionization of the TSA will make the unions of the U.S. Postal Service look benign as poorly-trained low-level employees continue to push American citizens around in a stunning abuse of power.

Fox News Is Reporting …

Perfect Storm: TSA Workers Allowed to Unionize

“In a significant victory for federal employee unions, the Federal Labor Relations Authority decided Friday that Transportation Security Administration staffers will be allowed to vote on union representation.”

“The decision clears the way for a campaign by the government's two largest labor organizations, the American Federation of Government Employees and the National Treasury Employees Union, to represent some 50,000 transportation security officers.”

"It is no secret that the morale of the TSO workforce is terrible as a result of favoritism, a lack of fair and respectful treatment from many managers, poor and unhealthy conditions in some airports, poor training and testing protocols and a poor pay system," said AFGE President John Gage. ‘The morale problems are documented by the government's own surveys. TSOs need a recognized union voice at work, and the important decision of the FLRA finally sets the process in motion to make that right a reality.’"

Bottom line …

You must be prepared to fight against the unionization of the TSA – an out-of-control bureaucracy which is doing little or nothing to really prevent another 9/11 incident. Especially since all of the current terrorists have made it through foreign destination screening and onto aircraft.

It is time to adopt the Israeli system of profiling and security, using private non-union labor who will be held responsible for their actions when protecting and facing the public.

We do not need higher costs, cushy perks and retirement benefits for people who look like they could not pass a simple test for private security contractors.

Public employee unions have nearly bankrupted every state, county and municipality. We need to draw the line now – before our corrupt members of Congress sell their votes to the union for continued campaign funds and voter support in the 2012 election cycle.
