CALIFORNIA: THE ALTERNATIVE VIEW OF REALITY

CALIFORNIA ELECTION 2010 -- A RETURN TO ONE-PARTY RULE: CORRUPTION AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS AUTHORIZED BY "WE THE PEOPLE IN CALIFORNIA" (Updated)

BULLETIN(09): 11/24/10 -- STEVE COOLEY  CONCEDES (Final Update)

"Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Steve Cooley conceded defeat Wednesday as he trailed by more than 50,000 votes in one of the closest statewide races in California history."  Vote Tally

It should be noted that the far-left Harris is anti-death penalty, pro-environment and is likely to continue Jerry Brown's anti-business policies while in office. In my view, this is a low point for California and justice.

BULLETIN(08): 11/20/10 -- STEVE COOLEY  BEHIND BY 42,114 VOTES

Harris, the Democratic candidate, led by 42,114 votes, with 305,004 uncounted ballots left to be processed across California, according to a Times review of updated vote counts in all 58 counties. Of those ballots, 185,937 are in counties Harris carried on election day, and 119,067 are in counties that Cooley, the Republican, carried. <Source>

BULLETIN(07): 11/17/10 -- STEVE COOLEY  BEHIND BY 29,738 VOTES

San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris holds a 29,738-vote lead over Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley in the attorney general's race entering today's ballot count.Harris has 4,189,949 votes to Cooley's 4,160,211, or 46 percent versus 45.6 percent, according to figures released by the Secretary of State's Office. <Source671,594 ballots remain unprocessed.

BULLETIN(06): 11/13/10 -- STEVE COOLEY  SLIGHTLY BEHIND BY 3,609VOTES

"Updated numbers from several counties put Harris ahead by 3,609 votes. The majority of the remaining votes -- about 500,000 statewide -- are so-called provisional ballots, which are given to voters when polling places do not have a record of their registration, often because a voter has moved since registering." <Source>

BULLETIN(05): 11/12/10 -- STEVE COOLEY STILL SLIGHTLY AHEAD BY 29,000 VOTES

"The secretary of state's office has Republican Steve Cooley about 20,000 votes ahead of Democrat Kamala Harris in their see-saw battle for attorney general, but Cooley said Friday that a county-by-county check indicates he's leading by nearly 29,000 votes."
"Cooley's campaign said it contacted every county to determine his lead. After the Election Day vote tally, more than 2 million absentee and provisional ballots were left unprocessed. There are still nearly 1 million."  <Source>

BULLETIN(04): 11/11/10 -- STEVE COOLEY STILL SLIGHTLY AHEAD BY 28,500 VOTES

"Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Steve Cooley continued Wednesday to cling to a lead of about 28,500 votes in the race for California attorney general, according to a L.A. Times review of website updates by all 58 counties."

Some reports put that lead at  between 9,555 and 11,400 votes. Well within striking range of vote count manipulation and the envitable lawyers and re-counts.

BULLETIN(03): 11/10/10 -- STEVE COOLEY STILL SLIGHTLY AHEAD BY 43,000 VOTES

"Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley holds a 43,212-vote lead over San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris in the race for attorney general entering today's count of vote by mail, provisional and damaged ballots."

"Cooley has 3,875,037 votes, 46.1 percent, to 3,831,825 for Harris, 45.5 percent."

"Under state law, county registrars of voters must complete the vote counting by Nov. 30 and provide their counts to the Secretary of State's Office by Dec. 3, 2010." <Source

Surprisingly, as of this date, we have not heard of any indications of fraud or malfeasance in the counting process.

BULLETIN(02): 11/07/10 -- STEVE COOLEY SLIGHTLY AHEAD ...

With roughly a million ballots still waiting to be counted in the extremely tight race, the Republican candidate pulled ahead of San Francisco Dist. Atty. and Kamala Harris by 22,817 votes -– or just three-tenths of a percentage point. Harris, a Democrat, had led the race by about 9,000 votes just two days earlier.

BULLETIN(01): 11/05/10 --  SOMETHING THAT WASN'T MENTIONED BY THE DEMOCRAT SECRETARY OF STATE ...

Attorney general race hangs in the balance as 2 million votes remain uncounted.

For Senator, there is only one real choice to stem the tide of Marxism that is being promoted by this current Senate under the direction of Harry Reid. I believe that Carly Fiorina, like Meg Whitman, is not a conservative but is infinitely better than Barbara Boxer, arguably one of the dumbest, most vain Senators in the country.

DOWNTHUMBCalifornians have returned the stupidest and most vain Senator to office …

For governor I recommend Meg Whitman. She is more liberal than I like and smarter than the RINO (Republican In Name Only) poseur Arnold Schwarzenegger. Considering that Jerry Brown is ultra-liberal (Marxist) and is totally owned by the unions, this is the only way I feel confident that California will not be totally destroyed.

DOWNTHUMBCalifornians have decided to reward the unions and the special interests over the “regular” folks by electing Jerry Brown to office. Look for the exodus of people and companies to begin as “global warming” regulations decimate the state.

Here I have to hold my nose to vote for Maldonado, who reneged on his “no new taxes” pledge to vote with the democrats to give California one of the largest tax increases in history. As his reward, Schwarzenegger named him as the interim Lt. Governor.

Gavin Newsom, another ultra-liberal maintained a sanctuary city, was complicit in the practice of shielding violent illegal aliens and openly pandered to the gays to maintain his position. He is responsible for the deaths of a father and his two sons at the hands of an illegal alien gang member who was processed by Newsom’s system and set free to kill again. It should be noted that Maldonado is an open borders advocate and likely to be little or no help when it comes to issues of illegal aliens. I am glad he Lt. Governor has little actual power in California.

DOWNTHUMBHere is the poster boy for illegal aliens, being soft on crime and pandering to the gay minority.

I am voting Republican, especially since Debra Bowen got caught in a democrat "dirty trick." http://blogs.sacbee.com/capitolalertlatest/2010/11/crp-files-complaint-against-ma.html

I have met Tony Strickland and believe he is an honest, stand-up guy (for a politician) and considering the drama of John Chiang, there is no way I want to see Chiang continue in office.

Steve Cooley has done a credible job in Southern California and there is absolutely no way I would vote for the ultra-liberal Kamala Harris who is not only soft on crime, but believes criminals need to be rehabilitated rather than punished. There is no way she should be involved with liberal issues pertaining to environmental or immigration issues.

DOWNTHUMB Californians are in big trouble as the hyperpartisan Kamala Harris does not seem to favor citizens over criminals and is likely to look the other way in matters of democrat corruption while prosecuting anti-business laws.

Once again, I must hold my nose as Mike Villines voted with the democrats, as did Maldonado, for the crippling tax increase that plagues Californians.

Bottom Line …

Californians clearly blew one of our only chances to restore California to its golden status. But if we continue to perpetuate a one-party state, we have essentially given the corrupt and Marxist democrat liberals carte blanche to continue their turnover of this State to Mexico and to promote their anti-business global warming policies which will do nothing measurable to change our global climate.

California will remain a haven for illegal aliens and welfare recipients. As taxes continue to rise and more onerous rules and regulations imposed, more wealthy individuals and businesses will move out of state – making the financial  and social situation untenable and unlivable. Perhaps exactly what the Marxists want.

We have voted ourselves into oblivion if the democrats continue the very activities which have decimated our state treasury and wreaked havoc on our social infrastructure.

I guess the bottom line is that the pain was not great enough to overcome the democrat’s union support and dirty tricks.

Please feel free to disagree with my choices, but if you wish to comment, please give reasons.
