Which begs the question if this antipathy can be attributed to Fattah as being perceived as having his loyalties lie in Arab causes, and his family's history of ‘civic activism' involving Black Nationalist groups like the National Black United Front which is linked to the Black Panthers Defense and the NOI. According to a bio of Fattah's mother, the family adopted the name because they did not want to "carry a slave name".

The name change indicates that Chaka Fattah's father was neither Arab nor Muslim, which begs the question as to why the website of the American Arab Institute Arab American Institute ( The AAI a Saudi funded ‘think tank' run by James Zogby a Marronite Christian), devotes a page to to a biography of Fattah, who gives his religion as a Baptist. <Source> 

In February 2005 Fattah sent out a press release entitled " Fattah offers Winning Exit Strategy for Iraq" which the text of his letter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on this issue. Among Fattah's suggestions were that the United States "enter into discussions with the United Nations and the Arab League" and he urged the creation of "Arab and Muslim peacekeeping forces.” <Source>.

This is not the first time that Chaka has taken up the Iraqi and Arab cause . In 2000 he was co signer of a petition and participant in a press conference and ‘rally' which called upon Congressmen to join together with American Muslims in ‘calling for an end to the devastating embargo on Iraq " . The event was organized American Muslims for Global Peace and Justice, and the list of co sponsors reads like a Who's Who of radical Islamist groups in the United States, and included CAIR, MAS, ICNA, ISNA, AMC, ADC,, MPAC, AAI, and Life for Relief and Development, a ‘charity' whose offices were raided in Iraq on suspicion of helping anti US forces. The head of LifeUSA (a terrorist linked charity), was Muwthanna Al Hanooti , was one of the coordinators of the event.

Debt Free America Act - States as purposes of this Act the raising of sufficient revenue from a fee on transactions to eliminate the national debt within seven years and the phasing out of the individual income tax.

Amends the Internal Revenue Code to impose a 1% fee, offset by a corresponding nonrefundable income tax credit, on transactions that use a payment instrument, including any check, cash, credit card, transfer of stock, bonds, or other financial instrument. Defines "transaction" to include retail and wholesale sales, purchases of intermediate goods, and financial and intangible transactions.

Establishes in the legislative branch the Bipartisan Task Force for Responsible Fiscal Action to review the fiscal imbalance of the federal government and make recommendations to improve such imbalance. Provides for expedited consideration by Congress of Task Force recommendations.

Repeals after 2017 the individual income tax, refundable and nonrefundable personal tax credits, and the alternative minimum tax (AMT) on individuals.

Directs the Secretary of the Treasury to: (1) prioritize the repayment of the national debt to protect the fiscal stability of the United States; and (2) study and report to Congress on the implementation of this Act.
