“The White House wants the public to start using the term ‘global climate disruption’ in place of ‘global warming’ -- fearing the latter term oversimplifies the problem and makes it sound less dangerous than it really is.”

Of course, the truth remains the same …

Climate is cyclical, alternating between periods of hotter and colder temperatures. This is the natural variability of climate. It has little or nothing to do with carbon dioxide, a life-sustaining gas which must be demonized to allow the politicians to control the energy creation and consumption which drives our economy. No science here, only political will and the complicit self-interest of those who benefit from greater government control over our nation.

The record shows that the Earth has been colder, been hotter, with more carbon dioxide and less carbon dioxide – even before man began the industrial age.

I am willing to bet that climate is a function of the variability of the Sun’s output, the Earth’s orbit and planetary dynamics, volcanic activity, deep ocean currents and the most significant and still ill-understood greenhouse gas: water vapor.

Since the rise in carbon dioxide levels lags the rise in temperatures by 600 –1000 years, it can hardly be causal.  And the phenomenon can easily be explained by considering that the amount of atmospheric carbon dioxide and the amount of carbon dioxide dissolved in the oceans are more or less constant, forming a self-regulating feedback loop. One merely needs to consider opening a cold beer on a warm day – the CO2 comes out of solution and enters the atmosphere as the beer warms. With the oceans warming as we come out of the last mini-ice age, carbon dioxide levels are bound to rise.

Of course, there are benefits to greater carbon dioxide levels which promote greater plant growth and increased oxygen levels.

And since when did government legislation ever solve a problem arising from nature. We, as a people, can adapt to natural circumstances; moving to take advantage of natural resources and avoiding the wrath of naturally-occurring phenomena. But we cannot alter the global climate any more than King Canute could halt the waves from crashing upon the shore.

The dishonest broker …

“White House science adviser John Holdren urged people to start using the phrase during a speech last week in Oslo, echoing a plea he made three years earlier. Holdren said global warming is a ‘dangerous misnomer’ for a problem far more complicated than a rise in temperature.”

How can we believe Holdren, a man whose scientific credentials mask a pure Marxist ideology. A man who has used his credentials and credibility to further his Marxist beliefs that the Earth has a finite amount of natural resources and that population growth is the greatest danger ever faced by the planet. Thus anything which would reduce our population and reverse our increasing industrialization is the prescription for avoiding planetary peril. Not the first time a first-rate scientist has embraced a crackpot position.

“Overpopulation was an early concern and interest. In a 1969 article, Holdren and co-author Paul R. Ehrlich argued that, ‘if the population control measures are not initiated immediately, and effectively, all the technology man can bring to bear will not fend off the misery to come.’" <Source>

“In 1977, Paul R. Ehrlich, Anne H. Ehrlich, and Holdren co-authored the textbook Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment; they discussed the possible role of a wide variety of solutions to overpopulation, from voluntary family planning to enforced population controls, including forced sterilization for women after they gave birth to a designated number of children, and recommended ‘the use of milder methods of influencing family size preferences’ such as access to birth control and abortion.” <Source>

Holdren told CNSNews.com that he would use the ‘free market economy’ to implement the ‘massive campaign’ he advocated along with Population Bomb author Paul Ehrlich to “de-develop the United States.” <Source>

The Obama Administration and John Holdren need the increased intervention of government in order to enact population and industrial growth controls on America; and to engage in the wealth re-distribution that will contribute further to the demise of a strong America.

They need to pass “cap-and-trade” legislation which in reality is nothing more than allowing the Wall Street Wizards and others to generate tremendous trading profits by selling government indulgences to gross polluters who will suck the costs of such benefits out of the American consumers. In their mind, higher energy rates equals less usage and less man-made global warming. It is nothing more than a ludicrous hoax supported by highly-manipulated climate models and massaged data.

Suspicious timing …

“The call comes as Congress prepares to adjourn for the season without completing work on a stalled climate bill. The term global warming has long been criticized as inaccurate, and the new push could be an attempt to re-shape climate messaging for next year's legislative session.”

Bottom line …

Can you trust your government to tell you the truth when it comes to extending their power, raising taxes, building a bureaucracy of unionized public employees and reducing your personal choices and freedoms?

Can you trust the institutions and scientists who have received billions of dollars in research funding to produce more than a token disagreement with their funding patron’s primary point of view?

Are you willing to risk your future and that of your children on the Marxist ideal of centralized government planning by so-called enlightened elites who will govern in the best interests of “collective society.” Making our exceptional nation into an unexceptional member of similarly unexceptional nations under the control of a corrupt and impotent  international organization such as the United Nations?

Yes, Holdren may be a well-credentialed scientist, but he has turned into a shill for an un-American way of life. Following Barack Obama and his fellow travelers down the road to European-style socialist democracy in which the control over people’s lives is invested in the government, the unions and the special interests.

It is time to elect “honest brokers” to serve “we the people” and start reducing the size of government and its profligate special interest spending. First, by removing the Marxist ideologues from elected office and positions of power within the government.

We need to restore constitutional checks and balances to our government and not cede our personal freedoms to those lawyers who cleverly manipulate the constitution to grant the federal government additional powers that it would be otherwise denied.

Vote – send the evildoers who are claiming that up is down, black is white and evil is good packing.
