If there is one constant that can be used to judge California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s political performance is that no matter the politics, Schwarzenegger is all about making himself look good and earning a profit.

Here is a man, created mostly with smoke and mirrors – public relations spin which portrayed a liberal RINO (Republican In Name Only) as a fiscal conservative in order to win a recall election against democrat Gray Davis. Davis’ crime was that he was a tax-and-spend democrat liberal whose prodigious campaign fundraising and pandering to the special interests were legendary. And, sad to say, he has been outdone by Schwarzenegger … a man whose first act was to appoint Gray Davis’ uber-liberal, lifelong democrat, lesbian Chief of Staff as his own. Instead of appointing qualified Republicans to positions of power, Schwarzenegger appointed democrats. Tax-and-spend democrats. Vowing to “blow up the boxes of government” and eliminate spurious commissions, boards and panels, Schwarzenegger appointed his cronies, such as his training buddy and nanny, to paid positions.

Douchenegger, as I call him, formed non-profit groups to pay for his travel expenses so that he could travel like a jet-setting movie star and claim that it did not cost the taxpayers. Of course, these were conduits for lobbyists and special interest money whose rewards did more fiscal damage to the average California taxpayer than if the taxpayer was charged for Douchenegger ’s lifestyle. 

Claiming to be a “post partisan” politician working for the people, the Governor seemed to have abandoned an semblance of leadership and became little more than a shill for the democrats. Where he tried to buck the unions and the free-spending socialist legislature, he was rebuffed by democrat attack ads – so he threw-in the towel and continued to practice “sound bite” politics.

The real damage, of course, was his failure to curb spending and being complicit in papering over California’s increasing deficit. Apparently this faux-fiscal conservative saw little wrong with borrowing money from Wall Street, arranging bogus sales of taxpayer-financed assets to investors and leasing them back, borrowing designated funds from various other state accounts and, in general, playing with accounting tricks to cook the books. He knowingly signed a bogus budget which lasted all of four months before the legislative analyst predicted, surprise, surprise – another multi-million dollar deficit.

Of course, Californian’s are now saddled with AB32 – Schwarzenegger’s attempt to force California to shoulder the burden of global warming – even though the science is dodgy and that even if California was razed to bare land, it would have little or no effect on the global climate.

Obama gets an 'A' for effort from Schwarzenegger

“Not every Republican is a critic of President Obama. At least one thinks the president is doing a fine job – at least when it comes to the effort involved in being the country’s chief executive.”

“Asked to give Obama a grade as the end of the president’s first year in office approaches, Arnold Schwarzenegger, California’s Republican governor, gave Obama high marks.”

“’When it comes to effort, [Obama] should get a straight A,’ Schwarzenegger told CNN Chief National Correspondent John King in an interview that aired Sunday on State of the Union.”

“’He’s out there with tremendous energy and he’s selling his ideas. And he has great enthusiasm there. He’s a great speaker, a great communicator.’”

Too bad Obama’s core policies involve bankrupting America and assuming control over its economy and citizens. What’s a little thing like patriotism toward your country and fiscal responsibility when it is measured against a pre-written speech delivered by an actor using a TelePrompTer. Truth-be-told, President Obama is a better actor than the wooden, posturing  Schwarzenegger ever was. If one needed an iconic action hero, perhaps they should look at Sylvester Stallone who wrote his own scripts and whose core beliefs are unchanged by money, fame or power.

“The one-time Hollywood action star also had some advice for Obama as the president tries to push his agenda through Capitol Hill’s partisanship.”

Douchenegger talks about being tough – without realizing or perhaps caring that President Obama is destroying the nation’s healthcare infrastructure and assuming a “command and control” policy over America’s economy and citizens. Moving us towards socialist central planning which has been proven to fail.

“’He has to hang in there,’ Schwarzenegger told King, ‘be tough, just continue on, never give up, eventually he’s going to get all those things done.’”

Mayor Bloomberg, another douche-bag RINO who switched parties to run as a Republican because he had little chance of being elected by his fellow democrats …

“The California governor was echoing the sentiments of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg who joined Schwarzenegger in the interview on State of the Union.”

“Bloomberg, a identified Independent and longtime Obama ally, was more circumspect in his assessment of the president’s first year. After noting several challenges Obama has been facing since taking office, Bloomberg said he would give the president ‘a pretty high grade.’

“’I hate to use letters,’ Bloomberg said. ‘But [Obama] is working very hard and trying. And he’s got enthusiasm and drive. And I would just urge him to don’t – if he doesn’t get everything he wants – don’t get beaten down, don’t go back into your shell.’”

No balls …

Schwarzenegger has screwed over California and its legal citizens. He apparently is attempting to secure a high profile position within the Obama Administration now that his cartoonish movie career is over and he has been complicit in ruining California. Perhaps he will become the new climate czar so he can do to the country what he did to California. If we could sum up Schwarzenegger’s career as a Governor it would be: no balls, no leadership and no brains. All talk and no walk.

Bottom line …

The country can no longer tolerate celebrities and politicians whose ideology is anti-American. No more democrats, no lawyers, no celebrities and no more professional politicians. Vote all incumbents out of office and vote for your friends and neighbors. For those who point to the need for “experienced politicians” to get things done – ask yourself, do we need more corrupt and complacent politicians to renew the Soviet cold-war and destroy America from within?
