Racism/Healthcare: Another sincere letter to Barack Obama from a concerned citizen ...
For those of you who do not know Frank Bell, he is the confirmed original author of a wonderful letter to Barack Obama which was widely circulated on the internet. The letter was picked up by numerous bloggers and others who signed their own name to the letter thus intimating that they were the original author.
I spoke with Frank Bell and confirmed that he was the original author and he has sent me a copy of another letter he wrote concerning Obama, racism and healthcare. For those of you who did not read the first letter, you can find it at “Letter to Obama that says it all ...”
There are some people who speak from the heart and say the things we are only thinking …
Franklin T. Bell, CFM, RPA, FMA Columbia, MD 21045 July 29, 2009 The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, D.C. 20500 Mr. Obama: You never cease to amaze me, Sir. While trying to explain your health-care message last Wednesday, you really stuck your foot in it didn’t you? After stating that you were not there and did not have the details, you proceeded to tell the Cambridge, MA police department and Sergeant Crowley that they acted stupidly. That comment was uncalled for, out of place and an insult to police departments and police officials all over this country. That was just one more instance in a string of instances where you not only display your extreme arrogance but your megalomania and monumental ego. You really do think that you have been elected king of the world, don’t you? I told you in a previous letter that I found you and your minions offensive in just about every possible way and this is another example of why I feel that way. Then, after you realized how stupidly you had acted, you came out and announced that you would like to make this a “teachable moment”; how utterly arrogant of you. You should have apologized to everyone for making a fool of yourself. You should take your “teachable moment” to Rev. Wright and his congregation. They are the ones that need to be spoken to about racism. You, your wife, Mr. Holder, Rev. Wright, Mr. Gates, Mr. Jesse Jackson and Mr. Al Sharpton and several other persons of color are the only people who have injected race into the current discussions and you try to make it sound as though this is a racist country. You and your kind are the racists, sir. Take your racism lecture right to the sources of racism in the U.S.A. And now, a colleague of Sergeant Crowley’s, Ms. King (a black, female cop) has told CNN that she once supported you but now, because of your actions, is convinced that she made a mistake and will not support you ever again. You want a discussion about race in America? How about these topics? I agree with Mr. Buchanan when he says: “America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known. Rev. Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American. Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ' 60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream. Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks”. So take your discussion of racism out of my face and stop lecturing me. I don’t need it and I resent it, especially coming for the likes of you. Your actions and reactions to situations tell us one thing very clearly – that you in fact did listen to Rev. Wright spew his version of “hate speak” about whites and the U.S.A. for twenty plus years. Your words and actions speak for themselves. They are right in line with what a more politically correct Rev. Wright would say and do. You are a clone of Rev. Wright. I am embarrassed for my fellow Americans that we have to acknowledge you and your fellow Chicago thugs as the “leaders” of the greatest nation on earth. Under your “leadership” the U.S.A. is quickly becoming just another “third-world” dictatorship. Let me give you some thoughts about ObamaCare; you really want health care legislation to pass, but you’re currently facing opposition from Democratic House Majority Leader Harry Reid, as well as the National Governors Association, half of the American public. Also included in the growing opposition is the Blue Dog Caucus, a group of fiscally conservative Democrats who are actually worried about the trillion dollars the current health care proposal would add to the nation's deficit. After negotiations between the Blue Dogs and Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman the Blue Dogs claimed they were being "lied to" by Rep. Waxman. Mr. Waxman lying - there’s a real surprise. Mr. Waxman and his committee are supposed to be the watchdogs over Medicare and the abuse and fraud so rampant in that program. He hasn’t had a single hearing on the issue this year and shows no inclination to do so. I understand that abuse now tops 32 billion dollars per year. If the level of fraud in an existing program is that big, how big will it get under ObamaCare? How can any reasonable human being expect the government to administer ObamaCare with any competence or intelligence? The evidence speaks for itself. He is not only lying to the Blue Dogs but to the American public as well. What a paragon of virtue that man is. Contrary to your protestations to the opposite, the Wall Street Journal recently analyzed the health care bill and found that there are five freedoms that we have now that the Democrats in Congress intend to take away from us. These are in the actual legislation. 1) Freedom to choose what’s in our health insurance plan, 2) Freedom to be rewarded for healthy living, or pay our real costs, 3) Freedom to choose high-deductible coverage, 4) Freedom to keep our existing plan, 5) Freedom to choose our doctors. Further, you have been very disingenuous in your comments about support for your plan, to wit: You claim that the American Medical Association supports your plan. In fact, the AMA opposes the plan saying, "The introduction of a new public plan threatens to restrict patient choice by driving out private insurers, which currently provide coverage for nearly 70 percent of Americans,” and would lead to an "explosion of costs". You claim that your plan will save money, yet The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated $1 to $1.5 Trillion in costs depending on various legislative proposals. Costs are expected to rise each year beyond the original 10 year CBO projection. And you promised that families that make less than $250,000 per year would not see one dime increase in taxes and yet according to Fox Business News, in an independent analysis of the proposal, about one in eight U.S. workers who receive health benefits from an employer -- more than nine million workers -- could pay higher income taxes on benefits as part of a Senate proposal that aims to raise billions of dollars to finance health-care reform. This includes me and I don’t make $250,000 and probably never will be able to as long as you are around. On page 425 it says, in black and white, that EVERYONE on Social Security will go to MANDATORY counseling every 5 years to learn and to choose from ways to end their suffering (and their life). Health care will be denied based on age. $500 Billion will be cut from senior’s healthcare. The only way for that to happen is to drastically cut health care; the oldest and the sickest will be cut first. Paying for your own care will not be an option. Mr. Obama, let me tell you something. I will not go to your counseling sessions and I sure will not share my thoughts about the end of my life with any of your people. It is none of your business and you have no rights in this issue. Get the hell out of my life and stay out. What is really telling about ObamaCare is the fact that the first thing Congress did was exempt themselves from the plan. If it’s going to be so good, why wouldn’t they be the first to sign up? Why, because they know it’s a bogus plan and so do you. If health care in this country is so bad, why didn’t some of the “stimulus money” go toward fixing it? Not one dime did. What does that tell you? As Mr. Ben Stein put it recently in an article; “Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.” That’s comforting, isn’t it? Of course that will never happen to you or Michelle or your kids – just to mine. When you suggest that the current system is broken and needs to be fixed, how do you explain the fact that people from countries all over the world come to America for treatment? They don’t go to Sweden; they don’t go to Egypt; they don’t go to Russia. They come here. How do you explain that one away, sir? I don’t hear about boatloads of Americans setting sail for Haiti or Cuba. Come on Mr. Obama, stop lying to us. This past week you told CBS News you didn't want to "wade into" the debate over whether taxpayers should be forced to pay for abortions within your health care takeover. You have already "waded in" - in fact, you’re up to your neck in a plan that would compel Americans to pay for abortion-on-demand. Here are some comments from Mike Huckabee that deserve repeating and more exposure: “In July 2007, Barack Obama promised a group of his supporters that, if elected president, he would sign perhaps the most evil piece of legislation in the history of our republic. It's called the "Freedom of Choice Act," or FOCA -- but don't let the Orwellian title fool you. It isn't about "freedom" or "choice" at all. It's about forcing each and every American citizen -- regardless of his or her view on abortion -- to support abortion-on-demand not just as a "fundamental right" but as a taxpayer-funded entitlement. Not only that, FOCA would immediately strike down any and all state restrictions on abortion -- even those with wide popular support, such as prohibitions on partial-birth abortion and parental notification requirements for minors seeking abortions.” You do not have the right to take my money and kill babies with it. If you want to kill your baby, that’s between you and God so, go ahead just don’t make me pay for it. Mr. Obama, what is it about the way you act and the plan you have for this country that makes you think folks are not waking up to your real agenda – to destroy the United States of America as we know and love it. By copying my State representatives, I am requesting that they vote strongly against the health reform legislation, the card-check legislation and the Cap and Trade legislation. Mr. Obama I sincerely want your plans and those of every one of your thugs to fail. I do not want to live in a socialist society and I do not appreciate your taking your election as permission to wreak vengeance on the U.S.A. for whatever ill advised grievances you think you have. Mr. Obama, you and your Chicago thugs are becoming increasingly more tiresome with every day. Please, please just go away, quickly. Sincerely, Franklin T. Bell |
Well said Frank!
I suggest that my readers pass this along to your friends, co-workers and elected officials.
Be well, be safe and take care of yourself and your family first.
