Update: 01-13-09 

Rumors continue to circulate that Arlen Specter might be considered by the Obama Administration for a Supreme Court nominee for his role in serving as a Judas Goat betraying his party and giving the Obama socialists their big win: a stimulus bill which will turn the Country left. Considering he is a liberal, this might not be that far-fetched.

Other rumors claim that Specter's motivation was the backing of unions and labor during his next election cycle which is expected to be a tough one ... especially considering that he has assisted in providing a victory to the democrats -- and possibly damaged the country in the process.

Questions:

Why would any Republican assist the democrats in pushing a stimulus bill which will define the parameters of their defeat in 2010 and 2012?

Why would any Republican support democrats who are buying themselves votes by creating an entire new class of beholden government workers and unionized employees.

Why would any Republican ignore the government economists who are claiming that  this bill will actually hurt the economy in the long run?

All of this makes one suspect the patriotism behind the democrats who are pushing America down the road to socialism as they pay back those who have elected them to office – and the three Republicans who will help the achieve their goals.

In terms of bumper sticker logic …

According to some legislators, some of the numbers were picked simply because they sounded like "nice" numbers. And this is OUR government being run by OUR representatives!
