Secretary Chertoff, who is charged with protecting the safety and security of the United States, and to a much lesser extent, Gutierrez who is charged with regulating and protecting commerce in the United States, have participated in an attempt to subvert the safety and security of America. Almost a coup that would have forever changed the financial and cultural dynamics of the United States in favor of a foreign nation, Mexico!

There is no doubt in my mind that their activities were improper and potentially damaging. While both men serve at the pleasure of the president -- who is the chief culprit and promoter of this travesty, they should have projected the consequences of this bill and then resigned rather than be a part of something that would drastically alter life as we know it. The evidence of this bill's significant negative impact over the span of the next ten to twenty years was clear for all to see. Both men knew or should have known that their agency and others in the current Administration were ill-prepared to execute the provisions of the bill -- as if some of the Senators ever believed all of the bill's many provisions would be enacted.

What can YOU do?

Do not reward bad behavior by allowing these two men to capitalize on their government service as a springboard to further fame and fortune. Let them fade quietly back into the sands of time.
