MEL MARTINEZ: HE'S WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE BUSH REPUBLICANS!

According to an appearance on CNN’s Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer, Republican National Committee Chairman Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) rejected the claim that the new immigration bill will anger conservatives and destroy the GOP's chances to win in the 2008 election. In fact he claimed just the opposite is true: that the immigration issue “could be the saving of the Republican Party. And to do nothing would be the wrong thing for the American people.”

But can we trust Mel Martinez?

LEGALIZE CASINO GAMBLING IN ALL STATES TO OFFSET NEGATIVE FISCAL IMPACT OF IMMIGRATION

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) was quoted as saying, "If we put rhetoric aside, we have the opportunity to pass a law that treats people fairly and strengthens our economy." 

The unasked question is which people the law should treat fairly: the law-abiding American citizen or the illegal alien who has already shown contempt for our laws and culture by sneaking into this country with a minimal attempt at assimilation.

Considering the plethora of multi-million dollar casinos in Neveda, it might be prudent to legalize gaming in all states that would suffer under the impact of poorly crafted immigration legislation.

IT IS AMNESTY -- TRIGGERS DO NOT COUNT

TRIGGERS ARE A DIVERSIONARY RUSE...

"Section 1(a) on Page 1 of the bill clearly exempts “the probationary benefits conferred by Section 601 (a).” Those benefits are then detailed on page 268, which makes it clear that illegals receive legal probationary status following a 24 hour waiting period, after which they “may not be considered an unauthorized alien.”

SEC. 1. EFFECTIVE DATE TRIGGERS.
(a) With the exception of the probationary benefits conferred by Section 601(h), the provisions of Subtitle C of Title IV, and the admission of aliens under Section 101(a)(15)(H)(ii) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(15)(H)(ii)), as amended by Title IV, 12

The key phrase is "with the exception" (the first words in the bill) which exempt the "benefits" outlined on Section 601(h) from the border security triggers. What does Section 601(h) say?

Probationary benefits given regardless of "triggers"
A reading of Section 601(h) -- page 268 -- makes it clear what is being exempted: illegal aliens will be granted probationary legal status. All they must do is apply and then wait 24 hours. What's more, once they have probationary status, they "may not be considered an unauthorized alien."

WARNING: IMMIGRATION BILL WILL IMPACT ELECTORAL PROCESS

URGENT WARNING: THE ITEMS BELOW DIRECTLY IMPACT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY AND REPRESENTATION IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES…

REPRESENTATION ISSUES:

There is no provision in the Census procedure for isolating illegal immigrants from the gross totals. Since the number of seats in the House of Representatives is based on Census data, the importation of illegal aliens into any state would fundamentally change their representation.

VOTING ISSUES:

Additional voting pattern irregularities will surface because many municipal and state entities do not require valid identification to vote and most post-vote auditing is costly and likely to be ignored if one candidate receives more votes that an artificially calculated “error threshold.”

SOCIAL SECURITY ISSUES:

Creation of a class of social security super-citizens due to the “Totalization Agreement” between the United States and Mexico which allows legal immigrants to qualify for social security with less minimal requirements than those required of United States citizens.

ALL LEGISLATION IS BUT A PROMISE -- WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT IN A BILL?

As never before, American citizens and taxpayers are faced with a barrage of important legislation which will affect the lives of Americans for generations to come. It is time to put aside partisan politics and review what our elected representatives are actually advocating.

As an example: the so-called “Amnesty Bill” was delivered late Saturday night to the Senate, hardly time for any legislator to read its 400+ pages. Or even understand all of the modifications made at the last minute by hardchargers like Teddy Kennedy.

Likewise, the bill was not made available to the public through the Government Printing Office.

Therefore, we are being forced to take the word of the President of the United States and senior Senators concerning the bill’s contents. Partisans in both parties and branches of government with their own agendas — which may not coincide with upholding the sovereignty of the United States or be in the best interests of taxpayers. Since the debate commences today, I am listing my criteria for a fair and equitable bill.

Regard the Politard and Celebutard...

They live in their own world, where money is abundant and people worshipful.

By dint of good looks or a modicum of talent, they have made it to the public stage.

To a person, they are mostly self-absorbed and concerned with their own feelings.

They are capable of perpetrating outrageous behaviors and stunts to garner attention. The greatest disaster to befall one of these anointed individuals is not scandal, ill health or drug addiction, it is to lose the spotlight. To sink into the world of irrelevancy.

TRUMP: THE HYPOCRITE -- DON'T DO AS I DO, DO AS I SAY

Update: Apparently through mutual negotiation, Trump has come out on top -- His Celebrity Apprentice will debut in late 2007 or early 2008 and feature celebrity contestants. Whether Trump's downward ratings trend can be reversed is still yet to be determined. Of course, as with all things TRUMP, never count the man and his hair out. As a master negotiator and businessman, one wonders if Trump is supplying his own sponsors using his large network of friends and business relations? -- 09/28/07

BEGINNING OF THE END? ... TED KENNEDY'S PROPOSAL MAY DROWN OUR CULTURE AND SOVERIGNTY

How do you feel about immigration legislation that:

Immediately creates a “legal” status for the 12–20 million illegal aliens who are already here. In effect, stay here illegally indefinitely with no fear of any legal consequences?

Allows all illegal aliens who register under the provisions of the legislation to receive immediate healthcare and educational benefits…plus credit for any previous social security payments — even if they were made on a bogus social security number or a number belonging to a law-abiding citizen who was the victim of identity theft?

Creates temporary worker visas without limit?

Falsely claims that certain “triggers” will be applied before the 3–step path to citizenship will be even considered. Especially in light of the bureaucratic paperwork shuffling that is already 2–6 years behind schedule?

Formalizes the “importation” of Mexico’s poverty problems to avoid creating revolutionary problems in Mexico?

Creates a huge new bureaucracy that will be prone to fraud and corruption?

Creates a magnet to immediately draw 10-60 million others to enter the country illegally in the next few years in the hope for another amnesty?

May impact each and every citizen and taxpayer to the extent that healthcare, education and the American culture is compromised?
