ILLEGAL ALIENS ARE NOT UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS...THEY ARE USING FORGED DOCUMENTS STOLEN FROM LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS
It is particularly galling that the proposed immigration bill contains an amnesty provision which overlooks felony fraud, document forgery, perjury committed when applying for official documents and other financial transactions and tax evasion. Something not available to law-abiding citizens who may have committed the very same crimes.
IF IT ISN’T AMNESTY, WHAT IS IT?
Amnesty is an act of justice by which the supreme power in a state restores those who may have been guilty of any offense against it to the position of innocent persons. It includes more than pardon, in as much as it obliterates all legal remembrance of the offense.
A pardon is the forgiveness of a crime and the penalty associated with it. It is granted by a sovereign power, such as a monarch or chief of state or a competent church authority.
Clemency is an associated term, meaning the lessening of the penalty of the crime without forgiving the crime itself. The act of clemency is a reprieve, giving relief to the subject for a period of time.
Last year’s massive illegal alien march was said to be a direct result of proposed legislation which reclassified the actions of illegal aliens from a misdemeanor to a felony. Amazing, since most of the acts committed by illegal aliens would be classified as felonies if perpetrated by a law-abiding citizen.
But, it is particularly maddening, as well as troublesome, that crimes perpetrated by illegal aliens are somehow shielded from the consequences specified by the law. Especially in sanctuary cities, such as Los Angeles, New York, and Minneapolis, whose misguided actions to protect so-called immigrants put the rest of us at risk. Mostly from drunk drivers who are never prosecuted or deported before they kill some law-abiding citizen. Not to mention heavily-armed roving gangs of drug dealers.
In Los Angeles, police officers approaching a known gang member of a violent, drug-dealing gang, knowing that the suspect has been previously deported, is forbidden by “Special Order 40” from even asking the suspect’s country of origin.
"That no officer of the Los Angeles Police Department shall cooperate with the Immigration and Naturalization Service to: inquire into the immigration status of an individual, EXCEPT AND Unless required by city, county, state or federal law to inquire into the immigration status of an individual seeking LAPD employment."
The Official LAPD Policy…
"390. UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS. Undocumented alien status in itself is not a matter for police action. It is, therefore, incumbent upon all employees of this Department to make a personal commitment to equal enforcement of the law and service to the public regardless of alien status. In addition, the Department will provide special assistance to persons, groups, communities and businesses who, by the nature of the crimes being committed upon them, require individualized services. Since undocumented aliens, because of their status, are often more vulnerable to victimization, crime prevention assistance will be offered to assist them in safeguarding their property and to lessen their potential to be crime victims."
"Police service will be readily available to all persons, including the undocumented alien, to ensure a safe and tranquil environment. Participation and involvement of the undocumented alien community in police activities will increase the Department's ability to protect and to serve the entire community."
What can You do?
Recognize the difference between illegal aliens and legal immigrants who have been naturalized or who have “green cards.” People who have violated our sovereign borders or those who have overstayed their visas are illegal aliens. People here on valid visas are valued visitors.
Recognize that self-appointed community activists are dependent upon illegal aliens for income and political power. It is not beyond belief that some of these “activists” are actually “agitators” who may be linked to foreign powers interested in preserving the export of American dollars to their corrupt economy.
Recognize that there are worthwhile individuals and their families who have already applied for their green cards and who are today trapped in a legislative and bureaucratic morass. If the current group of applicants cannot be accomodated within the current system, what is the chance that the system can deal with a massive influx of new applicants. There should be some provisions made to accommodate the upstanding people in this classification while rejecting those who do nothing other than impact the infrastructure without any corresponding benefit to the community. Especially those who are diseased or are criminals.
Recognize that Mexico does not believe in reciprocity and extend similar courtesies to United States citizens visiting their nation. Being undocumented, doing business or living without official permission have drastic consequences … including the overwhelming likelihood of having to spend time in jail. The Mexicans take their border seriously and defend their Southern border with their military might. Everything is Mexico can be arranged for the price of a bribe to a suitable official.
Recognize that there is no overwhelming reason why legislators must engage in precipitous actions without further study of the impact to the financal and social infrastructure and put safeguards in place prior to enacting any amnesty legislation.
If you are upset with the possibility of creating super-citizens, exempt from the law, and exempt from criminal prosecution, write your legislators.
Vote for those that do not support illegal aliens over American citizens.
Remember: the regrets that will bother you the most in years to come are those where you actually had a choice in the matter. If this legislation passes and the character of the composition and culture of this country changes for the worse and you, your family, friends and community are being bombarded by taxes and other financial consequences — I guarantee you will ask yourself why you didn’t take action when you could have gotten involved: doing nothing more than writing a letter or two, making a few phone calls and VOTING YOUR POCKETBOOK, NOT YOUR POLITICS.
