Not one person in the United States Senate appears to demonstrate their sworn fidelity to the United States Constitution by pointing out that the Democrats are the party of slavery, segregation, Jim Crow, anti-civil rights, internment of Japanese-Americans, and the outrageous promotion of Marxist and Communist values in past decades.
They appear to have been so cowed by the Democrat’s political correctness, multiculturalism, and moral equivalency that they allow these specious socialist constructs to govern their discourse and behaviors. Even worse, they have done nothing to promote American values while the Democrats have torn apart our country with their class, race, and sexual identity politics.
They are more afraid of being labeled a racist, sexist, or ‘phobe than doing their job to uphold the Constitution and push back against the decline of America. They have allowed the Democrats to advance nonsensical definitions that defy common sense and understanding. They have allowed the Democrats to “own” individual words which the Democrats say are so terrible that their usage precludes their users from holding a job in any corporation or serving in high office.
Is there nobody in the Republican Party willing to stand up to the Democrats who are dragging President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh though the mud on the most specious and flimsiest of allegations. Allegations whose timing and manipulation bear the fingerprints of Democrat Senators and their respective staffs?
Was there not one Republican member of the Senate willing to point out a Democrat President of the United States, former President Bill Clinton, was not only a sexual predator but was accused of rape by credible witnesses and that their allegations featured corroborating evidence and contemporaneous multi-party testimony?
Was there not one Republican member of the Senate willing to point out that Teddy Kennedy, one of their most revered Senators nicknamed the “Lion of the Senate,” was a sexual predator and a murderer of an innocent girl, Mary Jo Kopechne?
Was there not one Republican member of the Senate willing to point out that Democrat Senator Cory Booker admitted to groping a teenage girl during his school years?
Which Republican Senator stood up to the hypocrisy and double standard of the Democrats as they manipulated Senate hearings into why a college-age student’s behavior should disqualify him from Senate confirmation while the conduct of some in the Senate should not only be censured or impeached – but sent to prison for their actions?
I was astounded that one Republican Senator, Lindsey Graham, a man whom I considered to be a squishy, aisle-hopping, RINO (Republican In Name Only) rose to give an impassioned defense of Judge Kavanaugh at a time when other Republican Senators were cowering in fear. Perhaps because they thought the Democrat Senators would “play dirty” and leak their peccadilloes to the progressive-controlled mainstream media.
I was even more astounded that Maine Senator Susan Collins, whom I regarded as the squishiest, aisle-hopping, progressive RINO in the Senate, appeared on the Senate floor to deliver a 44-minute well-reasoned speech explaining her vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. For those who want to see this miracle, it can be found here.
And, as the closing days of the 2018 mid-term election wind down, which Republican Senator has stood up to explain Republican values, including comparing and contrasting them with Democrat values?
The problem is, as sick as I am over the decline of the Republican Party and the cowardly performance of the Senate Republicans, that the alternative, supporting progressive socialist democrats, is infinitely worse.
We are so screwed.
