Is it possible that the answers to the entire Russian collusion matter have been sitting under our noses all of this time?
Could Fusion GPS, betting on a Clinton presidency, conspired with their clients -- the Russians and their oligarchs -- to create a disinformation campaign targeting candidate Donald Trump and advantaging Hillary Clinton while advocating for the repeal of the Magnitsky Act which placed severe and crippling sanctions on Russian oligarchs – many connected to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In 2014 Fusion GPS was retained by the law firm Baker Hostetler, which was defending a Russian holding company, Prevezon, in a money-laundering suit filed by the US Justice Department. By October 2016, Browder’s Hermitage Capital, which had previously been represented by Baker Hostetler, successfully petitioned in US district court in Manhattan to remove Baker Hostetler from the Prevezon case. <Source>
Emails in 2016 between former British spy Christopher Steele and Justice Department official Bruce Ohr suggest Steele was deeply concerned about the legal status of a Putin-linked Russian oligarch, and at times seemed to be advocating on the oligarch's behalf, in the same time period Steele worked on collecting the Russia-related allegations against Donald Trump that came to be known as the Trump dossier. The emails show Steele and Ohr were in frequent contact, that they intermingled talk about Steele's research and the oligarch's affairs, and that Glenn Simpson, head of the dirt-digging group Fusion GPS that hired Steele to compile the dossier, was also part of the ongoing conversation. <Source>
The Fusion story has been known since Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) sent a heavily-footnoted letter to the Justice Department on March 31, 2017 demanding for his Judiciary Committee all relevant documents on Fusion GPS, the company that managed the Steele dossier against then-candidate Donald Trump. Grassley writes to justify his demand for documents that: “The issue is of particular concern to the Committee given that when Fusion GPS reportedly was acting as an unregistered agent of Russian interests, it appears to have been simultaneously overseeing the creation of the unsubstantiated dossier of allegations of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians.” (Emphasis added.) <Source>
And sold this plot to Hillary Clinton whose previous dealings assisted Russians in acquiring 20-percent of America's uranium production. For which Bill Clinton personally received $750,000 for a speech and the Clinton Foundation 100+ million dollars. With funding supplied by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (Debbie Wasserman Schultz) and transferred to Fusion GPS through Marc Elias of the Perkins Coie law firm?
With ex-British spy Christopher Steele producing unvetted and unverified information from Russian sources, possibly with help from Clinton operatives such as Sidney Blumenthal and Cody Shearer?
Additionally, Senate Judiciary Chairman Charles Grassley released a heavily redacted version of the letter making a criminal referral against the author of the original dossier, Christopher Steele. The letter references a “contact” and “friend of the Clintons . . . contemporaneously feeding Steele allegations” about Trump. It is widely assumed that the contact in question is Cody Shearer.
Shearer was last in the news in 2015, when a bombshell ProPublica report on hacked emails from longtime Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal revealed that the longtime Clinton confidant and aide was running a “secret spy network” network feeding Clinton information on, among other things, Benghazi and Libya while she was secretary of State. Recall that Blumenthal is a known liar and rumormonger so disreputable that the Obama White House put their foot down and nixed her attempt Blumenthal at the State Department. <Source>
And sold unsuccessfully to the media via Fusion GPS prior to the election of Donald Trump. Remember, the Dossier was not seen in the media until FBI James Comey had a briefing with Trump about the most salacious part of the dossier (not the entire dossier) and thus when news of the meeting leaked, it became a “legitimate” news story.
To delegitimize the election of Donald Trump and to push the Steele Dossier, Fusion GPS apparently provided copies of the dossier to James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence, John Brennan, Director of the CIA, and Senator John McCain. Possibly with the assistance of United States Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr whose wife worked for Fusion GPS on the Steele project. Ohr is thought to have contact with Steele prior, during, and after the production of the dossier. All of whom interacted FBI Director James Comey.
Buried within a newly declassified congressional report on Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. elections is a shocking revelation: former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper not only leaked information about the infamous Steele dossier and high-level government briefings about it to CNN, he also may have lied to Congress about the matter. <Source>
What caused the Barack Obama administration to begin investigating the Donald Trump campaign last summer has come into clearer focus following a string of congressional hearings on Russian interference in the presidential election. It was then-CIA Director John O. Brennan, a close confidant of Mr. Obama’s, who provided the information — what he termed the “basis” — for the FBI to start the counterintelligence investigation last summer. Mr. Brennan served on the former president’s 2008 presidential campaign and in his White House. <Source>
The Justice Department’s inspector general is “reviewing” at least two of the memos that ex-FBI director James Comey gave to a pal to leak to the press, a new report said Friday. One of the memos contained information that wasn’t classified when Comey turned it over to a Columbia law school professor, but was later upgraded to “confidential,” the lowest level of classification, The Wall Street Journal reported.
In the other, Comey redacted parts that he knew were classified to protect that information before he handed the documents over to the law prof, Daniel Richman, who passed them along to The New York Times. The memos memorialized the top G-man’s conversations with President Trump, and Comey said he wrote them so he’d have a contemporaneous record of the conversations in case the president denied them later. <Source>
And, possibly used Russian Agents known to Fusion GPS to set-up the infamous Trump Meeting to give legitimacy to the charge of “collusion.” With Russian Agent V proffering dirt on Hillary Clinton but actually discussing relaxing sanctions on the Russian oligarchs who were suffering under the Magnitsky Act.
Transcripts released Wednesday by the Senate Judiciary Committee say that Glenn Simpson, the co-founder of Fusion GPS, had dinner with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya both the day before and the day after she met with Donald Trump, Jr. at Trump Tower on June 9, 2016.<Source>
The Homeland Security Department confirmed Friday that Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya was granted special entry to the United States on multiple occasions in 2015 and 2016 at the request of the Justice Department. <Source>
Many additional questions will now be asked now that Bruce Ohr’s handwritten notes about a meeting with Glenn Simpson have been released.
One notation that stands out is Simpson’s account that he asked Steele to talk with Mother Jones reporter David Corn about their muckraking on Trump and Russia in the final days of the election. At the time, Steele still worked as an FBI source. Corn’s Oct. 31, 2016, story was one of the most definitive to allege possible ties between the Trump campaign and Moscow, creating an important talking point for Democrats in the final days of the campaign. “Glen asked Chris to speak to the Mother Jones reporter. It was Glen’s Hail Mary attempt,” Ohr wrote. <Source>
Spying on American citizens …
Yahoo News and its reporter Michael Isikoff are under fire after it was revealed that the news outlet coordinated with Fusion GPS and its founder Glenn Simpson to publicize the fake findings of the anti-Trump dossier. In fact, a Yahoo News article by Isikoff was presented as evidence to get a FISA warrant to surveil Trump Tower, even though the article counted Simpson as its prime source. <Source>
And then there are the senior members of the Obama Administration like Susan Rice, Samantha Powers, and others who “unmasked” the names of American citizens in covert surveillance reports. All with Valerie Jarrett and Barack Obama knowing what was taking place. Yet, nobody dares ask what Obama knew and when he knew it.
Bottom line …
Donald Trump did none of these things. And the mainstream media knows part of the story but refuses to tell it to the American people lest it damage the progressive socialist democrats.
It is a tangled web that seems to feature the same people over-and-over again. The top administration officials of the Obama Administration, including the President who was briefed on the matters surrounding the dossier. Fusion GPS. And any number of Russians trying to influence the U.S. to repeal the sanctions against the Russian oligarchs.
Without a doubt, there was Russian influence in the 2016 election and beyond – but all of it associated with Hillary Clinton and the progressive socialist democrats, some in very high-level positions within the intelligence agencies, the Department of Justice, law enforcement, and the State Department.
It is time to investigate and prosecute the investigators – before the statute of limitations runs out and everyone walks away.
The progressives are pouring multiple millions into the midterm election, primarily to win the House and stop the damaging investigations before the truth is revealed and people go to prison.
We are so screwed.
