According to published reports, there is no doubt in my mind that Bowe Bergdahl is an Army deserter who consciously and deliberately walked toward the enemies of the United States during a time of war. And, that such action should be punished to the fullest extent of the law in order to maintain good order and discipline in the ranks.
There is also no doubt in my mind that Barack Hussein Obama, in his fervent desire to close the Guantanamo prison complex in Cuba, shamelessly, recklessly, and with malice aforethought, used Bowe Bergdahl for political purposes to release five dangerous Taliban commanders – in fact, the high command of the Taliban – over the objections of military intelligence and high-ranking Members of Congress.
And, that the staged event with Bergdahl’s parents in the White House Rose Garden was a deliberate and disingenuous lie to sell the exchange and begin removing the most dangerous detainees at Gitmo.
That the exchange had to happen at a moment’s notice, without congressional approval, due to Bergdahl’s declining health and the portrayal of Bergdahl as an honorable soldier was a deliberate lie for which Obama and his cadre of communists should be held accountable.
Now we see that Bergdahl is facing more serious charges in addition to desertion; adding the charge of misbehavior before the enemy. And, what about voluntarily collaborating with enemy and possibly providing information that put American lives at risk.
Is the Obama Administration really planning to ease Bergdahl back into civilian life with a simple five year sentence, somehow waived for good behavior, a dishonorable discharge, a reduction in rank and the forfeiture of all pay and allowances?
Possibly under the terms and conditions of a non-disclosure agreement that keeps Bergdahl from revealing what he might know about the background machinations of the Obama Administration.
Or perhaps an acquittal on the grounds of a procedural foul-up, prosecutorial misconduct, or some other nonsense that would leave Bergdahl to potentially profit from a future book while those that died looking for this deserter lie moldering in their graves?
Something stinks …
Why has this relatively simple case been delayed time-after-time, investigation-after-investigation, when all of the facts were known a few months after Bergdahl sent his belongings home, left his weapon, and walked toward the enemies of the United States?
Bottom line …
President Obama has, once again, proven himself to be unqualified to be the Commander-in-Chief and opens additional questions as to his loyalty to America.
As for Bergdahl, a life sentence without the possibility of parole would be appropriate.
As for the progressive socialist democrats, they have, once again, proven they cannot defend America from her enemies, both foreign and domestic.
We are so screwed.
