Something stinks in the White House …
President Obama and his cadre of progressive socialist democrats have done and end-run around Congress, going to the United Nations for approvals to lift the sanctions on Iran in accordance of an agreement that has yet to be seen by Congress.
And the United Nations Security Counsel voted 15-0 to approve a resolution to life sanctions on Iran following the approval of the nuclear agreement negotiated in Vienna.
It should come as no surprise that the 104-page long resolution was written in Vienna by the very diplomats who negotiated the agreement. Some of whom were covertly trading with Iran in spite of the sanctions and who stand to pump hundreds of millions into their economy when trading resumes. Some of these people, allies included, are putting their national interests above the safety and security of the United States, Israel, and the entire Middle East.
Perhaps President Obama thought he would ratchet-up the pressure on Congress to accept a bad deal that gives Iran the means and opportunity to continue the development of nuclear weapons as well as continuing to be the largest state-sponsor of terrorism in the world.
An agreement so bad that it does not curtail the development of ballistic missiles that may be capable of reaching far beyond the Middle East – all the way to America.
An agreement that does does not provide for snap anywhere, any time inspections, but gives the Iranians 24-days to remove all damaging evidence. And, for those who read the agreement carefully, you will see that not a single inspector will be an America due to the restriction that all countries providing inspectors must have existing diplomatic relations with Iran. Not to mention that those chosen as “international” inspectors may have a secondary agenda and may be significantly influenced by trade deals with this rogue nation.
We cannot even believe the draft copy presented to the public …
Reuters is reporting that Congress will receive a “classified” briefing prior to a public session of Congress. I wonder what they are hiding and why such agreements need to be secret.
On Wednesday, Kerry, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz and an unnamed “senior intelligence official” will give separate classified briefings for all members of the House and Senate.
Kerry, Lew and Moniz will testify before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee the following day, and then Kerry and Moniz will meet with House Democrats that afternoon. <Source>
What are they not telling the American public?
This looks like a pattern and practice of the Obama Administration to deceive the American people even though they claimed, as did the Clinton Administration, to be the most open and transparent administration in history. Considering the scandals swirling around the toilet bowl that is the White House, and the “protected” nature of the TPP agreements which needed to be read in a closed room with no note-taking, there is no way we can trust Obama and his cadre of pro-Muslim socialists and communists.
Monday morning’s U.N. vote came just hours after the State Department formally sent the Iran deal to Congress to be reviewed.
“Enabling such a consequential vote just 24 hours after submitting the agreement documents to Congress undermines our national security and violates the spirit of the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act,” Boehner said, referring to the law giving Congress 60 days to review and decide whether or not to condemn the deal.
Congress can vote to block the deal in September, but Republicans would have to win over at least 13 Democrats in the Senate — and dozens in the House — to override a presidential veto. <Source>
Bottom line …
We can no longer trust our elected officials to uphold the Constitution and to ensure the safety and security of America and all Americans. This administration has done everything in its power to weaken the United States military, to denigrate and disparage our allies, and to empower and embolden our enemies.
Is Congress being bribed or blackmailed? Because what other confluence of events could explain so many bad laws and the Members refusal to rein-in Obama and his rogue fifth column?
We are so screwed.
