You have a self-radicalized domestic terrorist who wants to start a race war; but it can’t be domestic terrorism because it occurred on Barack Obama’s watch and “everyone knows” that you better not use that word …
The shooting deaths of nine black people by a white man in a Charleston church on Wednesday night was not an act of terrorism -- FBI Director James Comey
“Terrorism is act of violence done or threatened to in order to try to influence a public body or citizenry, so it’s more of a political act,” he said. “Based on what I know so far I don’t see it as a political act. That doesn’t make it any less horrific… but terrorism has a definition under federal law,” he said.
The “official definition” of terrorism …
The search for a universal, precise definition of terrorism has been challenging for researchers and practitioners alike. Different definitions exist across the federal, international and research communities.
Title 22 of the U.S. Code, Section 2656f(d) defines terrorism as “premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an audience.”
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) defines terrorism as “the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.”
Both definitions of terrorism share a common theme: the use of force intended to influence or instigate a course of action that furthers a political or social goal. <Source>
Let’s consider the definition and act without the political overlay …
We find a self-radicalized individual, seen in some photos sporting the flags of the racist Rhodesian government (political), who wants to shoot up (use of force) a school (according to his roommates) to bring about a race war (in furtherance of political or social objectives.)
Would it have been different had he used a pressure cooker instead of an evil gun that apparently has a mind of its own if you believe gun control activists? And, why hasn’t the Obama Administration re-classified the Fort Hood massacre by Major Nidal Hasan from “workplace violence” to domestic terrorism – even though they did knuckle-under to public pressure to award the victims the Purple Heart.
Bottom line …
The criteria for defining official actions: one, it can’t be the fault of Barack Obama; two, it can’t be domestic terrorism unless it is committed by a foreign national; and three, it can’t affect Obama’s historical legacy.
Just another example why Barack Obama and his cadre of progressive socialist democrats cannot be trusted with our national security, both foreign and domestic … and a great reason why Hillary Clinton, a corrupt, lying, cronyist, cannot be trusted with American lives.
The Charleston church shooting is every bit an act of domestic terrorism as is the gang killings in the inner cities. Orwell would be so proud that the administration has sought to distance themselves from the truth by their re-definition of common words and deeds.
