As fugitive cop-killer Christopher Dorner remains at large, the internet becomes alive with crazies who are using the actions of a seriously deranged individual to promote their own political causes or to turn his anti-social behavior into some form of mythic heroism.

Anti-police …
Radical Black Activism …
And on the other side: anti-gun control …
Bottom line …
This man is a wanted fugitive, a deranged and dangerous man who allegedly killed the daughter and the fiancé of the police officer who represented him at his dismissal hearing as well as another officer. He is a walking time-bomb that is now being exploited as a living symbol of other people’s wants, wishes and desires.
Let us hope that this unfortunate matter is brought to a conclusion where nobody else is being threatened and Dorner receives the psychiatric help he apparently needs. That is, if the police are not so panicked and are willing to take him into custody rather than shooting first.

Chris Dorner may have a legitimate argument against his superiors. But once he took the law into his own hands and killed innocent people he became much worse than any thing they have done. He is now involved in a no win situation and
As a trained professional police officer he knows that.
This can only end in more killings including the death of Mr Dorner also. This is probably what he expects and wants.

Not necessarily. Perhaps Dorner experienced a psychotic break and now realizes what he has done and fears assasination as he attempts to turn himself in.
I know of at least one former military officer who has publicly offered to personally meet with him and walk him into a police station. Pretty gutsy move as the offer was made on one of the most powerful radio stations in Southern California and that person has a wife and family. BTW, this same person told him how much he disagrees with his actions and how to commit suicide and not botch the attempt.
There is also the possibility that he is already dead -- frozen as he attempts to leave a bitterly cold area with significant snow or has committed suicide. Or that he is sitting somewhere planning to go out in a blaze of gunfire. Thanks for commenting. -- steve
