It’s a simple question: Is the current President of the United States trustworthy, willing and able to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America and is he an honest broker when it comes to the defense of our nation?
While it is inconceivable that any President of the United States would act on behalf of international interests and the interests of sovereign nations other than the United States, never before in the history of our young nation have we had a President about whom we know so little.
A President who has refused to release his birth certificate, his school records and passport information – and whose minions have spent more than one million dollars fighting the release of these records. Even in the face of a swirling controversy about the origin of his birth and how he managed to travel outside of the United States without allegedly having a valid U.S. passport are matters which could simply be resolved with the release of these documents.
A President who has deeply troubling associations with those who openly espouse racist, Marxist, Communist or other opinions and political philosophies that are an anathema to the American public. A President with an association with committed radical terrorists who somehow managed to secure teaching positions to influence our youth.
A President who seems to be in a perpetual campaign mode, offering platitudes and well-crafted speeches rather than explanations and the specifics of his political agenda.
Being the first Black President is historic, so would being the first person to openly attempt to subvert our traditional political system, curtail individual freedoms in the United States, or acting on behalf of a larger and more international community and compromising the the fundamental tenets of our nation.
Why am I suspicious of Barack Obama …
Pardon me if I do not rejoice to find that United States government is about to abandon the fundamental principle of Ronald Reagan’s cold war foreign policy: trust, but verify.
The Washington Times is reporting …
“EXCLUSIVE: U.S. to stop counting new missiles in Russia
“The United States is about to lose a key arms-control tool from the closing days of the Cold War -- the right to station American observers in Russia to count the long-range missiles leaving its assembly line.”
“The end of full-time, on-site access will likely ignite complaints in Congress, with insiders from both parties arguing over whether the George W. Bush or the Obama administration is responsible.”
Pure and utter bullshit …
We are now eleven months into President Obama’s watch and our country is functioning under the Congressional control of the party that Barack Obama leads. Yes, Obama may have inherited residual problems from a prior President, but so did all of his successors. Apparently, there is no legal reason why Obama would need adhere to any prior Bush policy and since the Senate is required to ratify foreign treaties … Obama’s protestations that he is not in control of the situation falls on my deaf ears. In fact, I am growing quite tired of the continued Bush bashing in the face of the President’s non-performance and inability to articulate his political agenda – curious for a man who is openly feted for being knowledgeable and articulate.
Did Obama do a deal?
We all know that President Obama, apparently bright enough to make it through a prestigious university, has absolutely no foreign policy experience, may have an extreme left-leaning Marxist spin on history and appears to be little more than a telegenic, well-spoken empty-suit with a TelePrompTer. A charismatic actor able to deliver the pre-written lines of others with a convincing sincerity. But you must ask: what are his core values? Who knows? – which is precisely the point I am trying to make.
Did he do a “secret” deal to obtain Russia’s cooperation with Iran’s growing nuclear threat. Today’s headlines have Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin claiming that he is not about to leave power and that he has no “information that Iran is working on the creation of a nuclear weapon.” Stupid ex-KGB agent Putin is not. Evil, cunning and manipulative he is.
“Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, in power for over 10 years, ruled out a departure from politics on Thursday, telling a questioner: ‘Don't hold your breath.’ Putin, 57, also said he ‘will think about’ taking part in the 2012 presidential election, when many Russians expect him to return to the Kremlin for a six-year term.” <Source>
“Russia has no evidence that Iran is trying to build a nuclear weapon, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Thursday. ‘We have no information that Iran is working on the creation of a nuclear weapon,’ Putin said when asked by a reporter if Iran was close to making an atomic bomb. When asked if Russia would support international sanctions against the Islamic Republic, Putin declined to answer.” <Source>
The undisclosed agreement …
Some agreements between nations and political leaders must remain secret for them to be effective. Unfortunately, the problem with our current President is that I am openly forced to question whether or not he is an honest broker, acting solely for the benefit of the United States of America or on behalf of a greater (and more diverse) international constituency which has apparently awarded him a Nobel Peace Prize, not for anything he has really accomplished, but for his potential actions on behalf of the international community.
““Republicans are worried by the previously undisclosed agreement between the Obama administration and the Kremlin in October, which formalizes the inspectors' departure this Saturday. This, they warn, would cripple Washington's ability to police Moscow's compliance with agreed reductions in its nuclear arsenal.”
Democrats, on the other hand, insist they were ‘stuck’ with an agreement reached late last year between the Bush administration and Moscow but not made public. This, they said, left the Obama team no choice.
The President of the United States always has a choice. He can always implement foreign policy using Presidential directives and orders. He can always order his Secretary of State to reopen negotiations. He can always go before a Congress owned by his policies party and ask for assistance in foreign policy issues. To claim that the President of the United States, the most powerful politician in the world is powerless is disingenuous to say the least, or at best a bald-faced lie.
“The U.S.-staffed Votkinsk Portal Monitoring Facility operates under the terms of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START I) at the Votkinsk Machine Building Plant, about 600 miles east of Moscow -- the site where all Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) are built.”
“The monitoring facility's present mandate ends with START's expiration Saturday, and the Obama administration has decided not to seek another agreement allowing Americans to remain, administration and congressional officials said.”
Someone appears to be lying …
He we have government sources claiming that “the Obama administration has decided not to seek another agreement allowing Americans to remain” which is far different than saying we can’t do it because of former President Bush.
"’U.S. and Russian officials signed on Oct. 20 a series of documents, which establish the procedures to be followed for the completion of U.S. monitoring activities at the Russian ICBM production facility at Votkinsk," a State Department official said.”
Did anyone check on the whereabouts of former President Bush on October 20th? I am willing to bet that he was somewhere other than the conference table where the documents were signed on behalf of the Obama Administration.
America’s aging arsenal …
It seems that weapon systems, nuclear or conventional, have a shelf-life. And if they are not well-maintained become little more than useless pieces of scrap metal and electronics over time. Hardly a defensive posture to be assumed while other nations are continuing the development and restructuring of their forces?
“Although the United States does not produce new long-range missiles, Russia continues to do so and has built dozens of missiles since the monitoring started15 years ago. START banned certain types of missiles, which Americans at Votkinsk verified by counting and inspecting every missile that left the facility, analysts said.”
“However, the head of Russia's strategic missile forces, Nikolai Solovtsov, was recently quoted by Russian news agencies as saying that the assembly and deployment of next-generation RS-24 missiles would start once the treaty expires. Analysts said that could happen, because Moscow was not banned from developing new missiles.”
Let’s review …
President Obama wants to lead the world in nuclear disarmament – possibly to fulfill the pledge created by his acceptance of the Nobel Peace prize which was awarding in anticipation of exactly this type of anti-war, anti-nuke policy. Unilaterally disarming America in the face of a growing nuclear and conventional threat that will only continue to grow as time goes on.
“During a visit to Moscow by President Obama in July, both countries agreed to draft a new arms-control treaty that would replace START. They also set a goal of cutting the number of strategic nuclear warheads to between 1,500 and 1,675 within seven years.”
Rushing the destruction of America through the Administration and a corrupt and complacent Congress …
“It now appears unlikely that the two countries will meet a self-imposed Dec. 5 deadline, but State Department spokesman Ian Kelly said Monday the U.S. hopes to have a draft treaty by the end of the month.”
"Two main priorities here are reductions in nuclear arsenals and also preserving the verifications and monitoring mechanisms that are at the heart of the START treaty," Mr. Kelly said.
So why isn’t the present monitoring scheme being extended – at least as a show of good faith – and that any window of opportunity to subvert the protective nature of monitoring be closed? Why are comprehensive, life-altering policies being rushed through Congress, the details of which are hidden in thousand and two-thousand pages bills which leave great unexplained powers to Administrative agencies? Why the rush? Could it be to avoid more public scrutiny which would reveal the incompetence and dangerous provisions crafted into the legislation?
Oh, it’s that pesky Bush Administration. Blame it on Bush!
“Congressional officials said they were told by the Obama administration that it ‘got stuck’ with a deal made by the Bush administration to close the monitoring facility at Votkinsk. They also said the Bush administration did not want to extend START at all.
First, I have little faith and trust in either the Obama Administration or the Congress when it comes to partisan political matters. Both are comprised of people who will lie, cheat, steal or possibly sell out their country in order to achieve their political agenda.
“Paula A. DeSutter, assistant secretary of state for verification, compliance and implementation in the Bush administration, said she sent the Russians a post-START proposal in November 2008, but it was not a negotiated agreement.”
“She confirmed that it did not include continuing the Votkinsk mission, but attributed that to the Bush team's decision ‘not to limit delivery vehicles,’ so it did not need to count every missile Russia produced. ‘We didn't need the entire verification regime from START,’ she said.”
The Obama Administration: lazy, incompetent and corrupt … following Bush policies wherever convenient?
“In contrast, the Obama team ‘accepted the START approach to limit both warheads and missiles,’ so it made sense for them to keep Votkinsk, she said.”
Obama, not Bush …
"’There was nothing in our proposal that precluded the Obama administration from adding Votkinsk or any other verification measure, had they decided to take that approach,’ Ms. DeSutter said.”
The fundamental question: Can you trust Obama, the Congress and Russia ?
“The Obama administration points out that the two countries are no longer enemies and that it has gone out of its way to improve relations with Russia. ‘The nature of our relationship has changed, and we have a pretty good idea about where Russia's missile program is headed,’ one U.S. official said.”
If we are not exactly declared enemies, why are our peace initiatives being rebuffed in areas subject to Russian influence?
Could it be that, as advertised prior to January 20, 2009, that President Obama is not competent to answer that 2:00 a.m. telephone call?
Or is our whole system being compromised by the democrat/Marxists which suddenly found themselves in power on the back of a confluence of events: the corruption of the liberal media which refused to do their job, a coalition of Blacks and the disaffected, and a vote that was more anti-Bush (excoriated and demonized by the mainstream media) than pro-Obama?
Bottom line …
Who the hell is watching out for the interests of America and her citizens? Who can be considered a trustworthy honest broker of American interests?
I have utterly no faith in the current crop of corrupt and complacent politicians and bureaucrats in office. Starting in 2010 and going through the 2014 election cycle to remove the last of the Senators, we need a sea change in our political establishment. Once that understands and is willing to uphold the Constitution of the United States – without tortured interpretations and without the death from a thousand cuts that is now being inflicted by our out-of-control federal judiciary – which is it appears is neither independent nor apolitical.

Thank you very much for your comment. I am sorry that I do not share your opinion as President Obama seems to be taking an approach that can be described as "Internationalism" where he appears to consider the laws and positions of other sovereign nations on a par with the rights, duties and policies of those that promote American self-interest. In other words, I do not believe that President Obama is promoting the idea of U.S. exceptionalism and may consider America just another member of the international community. There is no doubt that America is the most exceptional nation on the planet and that our history, flaws and all, have meant more for the advancement of society than the efforts of any other modern country. We are the bulwark against despots and religious intolerance. No matter who says what, the human rights and freedoms offered to individuals -- citizen and non-citizen alike -- in our country cannot be found in much of the world.
I believe that there are those who want to breach the sovereignty of America and make our citizens subject to international law as determined by international boards, panels, commissions and courts. Many of which are run by so-called democratic institutions whose members are not democratic and do not wish America well.
As for Israel, history of that brief nation has clearly demonstrated that they are surrounded by despots who use religion to oppress the rights of their citizen/subjects. If it were not for the United States, Israel would be forced to use its nuclear arsenal to defend itself against those who want to wipe it off the face of the map.
I am not sure that Obama really supports Israel since he spent 20-years listening to an anti-Semitic mentor and close family friend, has openly embraced Louis Farrakhan, a known anti-Semite and the Obama Administration has seemingly given a legal pass to alleged voter intimidation (captured on camera) by members of the New Black Panthers.
As they say, I call them as I see them. If it was not for the political influence of the Jews in American, I think Obama would allow Israel to stand friendless in the world. This is probably the only time I am going to suggest that Obama's Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, is doing something for Israel and humanity as he serves as a constant reminder of the Israeli position and our obligations to those who embrace freedom.
You do realize that, at some point in time, freedom-loving nations must decide what to do about Islamic nations who remain intolerant of other people and religions and want to spread their doctrine by force of arms -- or by demographic bombing -- breeding new Muslims in regions with a declining endemic population? Or that Islam must experience a reformation in which the peaceful nature of Islam will become its central tenet. My personal view is that I am not sure Islam can change as it appears that Islam is used both a religion and a political ideology.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to comment. -- steve

It will never cease to amaze me the arrogance of 60 people going against the will and desire of at least 200 million people.
