Once again the democrats in Congress seem to have violated their duty to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States by corrupting the enumerating process which controls the number of members in the House of Representatives.
Since when do we allow illegal aliens to skew the assignment of our representatives, overweighting the influence of districts which have large numbers of illegal aliens who are prohibited by law from voting.
Just another example of the toxicity of the democrat party and the reason their members run out of government. Never before have we had such a fifth column operating on behalf of foreign sovereigns and our enemies, both foreign and domestic.
According to the Associated Press …
“Senate blocks census US-citizenship question”
“Senate Democrats have blocked a GOP attempt to require next year's census forms to ask people whether they are a U.S. citizen.”
“The proposal by Louisiana Republican Sen. David Vitter was aimed at excluding immigrants from the population totals that are used to figure the number of congressional representatives for each state. Critics said Vitter's plan would discourage immigrants from responding to the census and would be hugely expensive. They also said that it's long been settled law that the apportionment of congressional seats is determined by the number of people living in each state, regardless of whether they are citizens. A separate survey already collects the data.”
A few questions for the democrats: why do we count toilets and not illegal aliens? …
- Do we count visitors to our country – those with Visas?
- Do we make public policy based on the census numbers – with the government claiming that they really have no way of providing better estimates of how many illegals are actually in our country?
- Do we really expect illegal aliens to complete intrusive census forms and does it actually skew the data in favor of the “entitlement” class – presumed by the democrats to be fellow Americans?
It is time we de-politicized our institutions and civil infrastructure to provide honest and accurate counts of our citizens and others who may be in this country illegally. The thought that the credit card companies can track millions of people around the world and authorize the extension of credit in mere seconds makes a mockery of the government who professes not to be able to match incoming and exiting tourists.
The democrats pursuing power with the disaffected and entitlement coalitions have morphed beyond a political party – almost to the point of institutionalizing corruption to obtain and maintain political power. Their actions seem to promote anti-American ideas and positions and serve the benefits of special interests, including the foreign sovereigns who are waging a media and legal campaign to allow their citizens to become Americans and thus tap into the wealth of America – pursuing the democrat dream of wealth distribution.
It is time to fire all of the corrupt and complacent politicians who are putting their personal and political interests over those of the people they represent.
