If by "complex," you mean a world made more dangerous by a naive President with little or no foreign affairs experience and being advised by a combination of "seat of the pants" Chicago-style thugs and retreads from the failed Carter and ineffective Clinton Administrations -- you bet.
Another reference to the "blame America first" "critics" crowd who believes that the United States is just another nation among many others and that we breached "international norms." Screw them, we are the United States and we should do everything in our power to protect our citizens first and our allies second. Perhaps we should withdraw our troops from those NATO nations which send a token number of men and then refuse to accept front-line combat roles? Perhaps we should withdraw our bases, equipment and funding from these nations. Then charge a fee for providing defense advice, services, equipment and consultation. Every time President Obama mouths the focus group, spin-tested words transparency and accountability before the American people, who knew he meant that it would apply, not to the American public during the financial crisis, but to Russia.
Compromising our military?
Again, like Presidents Carter and Clinton before him, we see a President who appears to be a globalist: a man who does not recognize the exceptional and unique nature of America; a man preoccupied by sharing the collective wealth of the United States with the world; a man pandering to far-left Marxist, socialist and communist regimes; a man who appears to be weakening our military and destroying our economy.
And now Fox News is reporting …
“Tentative Inspection Program Would Allow Russia to Visit U.S. Nuclear Sites”
“Russia and the United States have tentatively agreed to a weapons inspection program that would allow Russians to visit nuclear sites in America to count missiles and warheads.”
One might ask, does that mean the Russians would be able to board American Nuclear Submarines and visit American Air Forces Bases where nuclear weapons may be stored? What better targeting information could they get – using nothing more than a GPS-equipped cell phone – right down to the storage bunker level?
“The plan, which Fox News has learned was agreed to in principle during negotiations, would constitute the most intrusive weapons inspection program the U.S. has ever accepted.”
Unilateral disarmament in a time of growing tensions and the strengthening of China, Russia and the threats from rogue states …
“Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who met with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, said publicly Tuesday that the two nations have made ‘considerable’ progress toward reaching agreement on a new strategic arms treaty.”
I understand Ronald Reagan’s “trust but verify” concept, but what if the other side is not known to play fair and maintains a government apparatus that is anything but open and transparent. How likely is it for the present Administration to admit that they were snookered when they realize that the program of “mutual disclosure” was anything but mutual.
It has been the U.S. Government’s position not to confirm the existence of nuclear weapons at any particular base – at least to the American people – and now our enemies will know more than “we the people.” Perhaps this information may leak from those who are still are enemies and do not wish us well to the terrorists who can use this information to create havoc on American soil?

Racing? You mean another rush-rush, half-ass job done for the sake of expediency in producing another public relations coup – not aimed at America, but aimed at the world which wants to see a weaker United States?
Clinton said the U.S. would be as transparent as possible. "We want to ensure that every question that the Russian military or Russian government asks is answered," she said, calling missile defense "another area for deep cooperation between our countries."
Our friends, trading partners and global peace-keepers?

“Clinton visited Moscow on her first trip since becoming America's top diplomat, in an effort to gauge Moscow's willingness to join the U.S. in imposing sanctions.”
Clinton is currently a “zero not a hero” in the current Administration. Her duty appears to be more to herself than her country. Keeping quiet, distancing herself from the Obama team while she contemplates being drafted in 2012 to replace a divisive and extremely polarizing President who appears to relish the thought of America being joined with Cuba.
Setting the stage for failure?
“Clinton said the U.S. agreed it was important to pursue diplomacy with Iran.”

Is the Obama Administration effing stupid?
“Iran insists it has the right to a full domestic nuclear enrichment program and maintains it is only for peaceful purposes, such as energy production.”
Unbelievable! The President of Iran openly claims that he wants to annihilate the State of Israel and wipe if from the map. But even more credible is that Iran will need nuclear weapons to defend itself from their historic enemies, the neighboring Arab states, in 20 to 30 years. There is no doubt that Iran will cease to exist if the current demographics, showing a declining male birth rate, continue to persist. There will be few men of military age or in sufficient numbers to protect one of the richest oil-bearing nations from being overthrown. That's the real reason Iran must push forward with their nuclear weapons program.

While Hillary Clinton is discussing unilateral disarmament by the United States, Ivestia is carrying news articles which gives the impression that the United States is being played by the Russians.

"A top Russian security official says Moscow reserves the right to conduct pre-emptive nuclear strikes to safeguard the country against aggression on both a large and a local scale, according to a newspaper interview published Wednesday. Presidential Security Council chief Nikolai Patrushev also singled out the U.S. and NATO, saying Moscow's Cold War foes still pose potential threats to Russia despite what he called a global trend toward local conflicts."
"Patrushev said a sweeping document on military policy including a passage on preventative nuclear force will be handed to President Dmitry Medvedev by the end of the year, according to Izvestia."
"Officials are examining 'a variety of possibilities for using nuclear force, depending on the situation and the intentions of the possible opponent,' Patrushev was quoted as saying. 'In situations critical to national security, options including a preventative nuclear strike on the aggressor are not excluded.'"
"The proposed doctrine would allow for the use of nuclear weapons 'to repel an aggression with the use of conventional weapons not only in a large-scale but also in a regional and even local war,' Patrushev was quoted as saying. He said a government analysis of the threat of conflict in the world showed 'a shift from large-scale conflicts to local wars and armed conflicts.'"

It sound like Obama Administration is quickly, and maybe irreversibly, undoing the work of Ronald Reagan and allowing his naive weakness and far-left policies to pose a clear and present danger to the United States of America. Whether or not this is simply saber-rattling by the Russians or an indication of Obama's relative weakness -- including his dependence on the United Nations -- cannot be taken lightly. Or are we heading toward another manufactured crisis which will demand government action: more government control, higher taxes, control over industry and commerce -- all resulting in less freedom for the American people.
Bottom line …
Never before in the history of the United States have we seen such a confluence of far-left Marxist influence in a White House which openly hired self-avowed Marxists and Communists to serve in high positions. All without the traditional Constitutional checks and balances of having a strong second political party or a questioning mainstream media. We have entered a dangerous time, where the one-party rule by corrupt and/or complacent democrats and a severely compromised media has hastened the destruction of American Institutions. Perhaps partially advancing the Marxist doctrine that America will be captured from within, by weakening our traditional institutions and safeguards and by using our own laws against us. We need go no farther than our educational institutions and the environmental movement which has been infiltrated and co-opted by far-left Marxists, communists and anarchists to see the damage being done to the American way of life. Where the ideals of population control, heavier government regulation, higher taxes and the stifling of our economic growth is promoted by court rulings over a three-inch fish of little or no apparent worth. Where the champions of such restrictive legislation are openly feted in a conference which proclaims their enemy to be capitalism.
We need to take back our nation and our government from these mushy-headed do-gooders who do not realize that they are the problem, not the solution to advancing the interests of the United States. We not only need to vote them out of office, but possibly prosecute them for their malodorous acts which have led to rampant corruption and subversion. We need to insure a strong defense.
No longer can we bury our heads in the sand while our politicians change America into something unrecognizable by our founding fathers. We are not as old as European nations, but we are stronger, more productive and more willing to advance democracy in the world. Which makes us a better role model than any other nation on the face of this Earth. To claim the America and her citizens are not exceptional is to deny history and take a step backwards. Just like President Obama and his Administration are attempting. He won a Nobel Peace Prize – but at what cost – the pacification of America relative to bad actors in this world?
Time to gear up for the 2o10 and 2o12 election cycles. Or we may find that we have become a nation of non-productive European socialists locked in a continual battle against a toxic government and the trade unions which control commerce.
And perhaps we should remember the motto of the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command (Peace through Strength) and its basic operational guideline: "To err is human, to forgive devine: neither one of which is an operational policy of SAC." With nuclear weapons, you get it right the first time as the consequences of errors may be disastrous.
