UPATE: 11-13-09 BAUER REPLACES CRAIG AS WHITE HOUSE COUNSEL
Anita Dunn leaves the White House and her husband is installed as the new White House Counsel. That's Barack Obama -- never a moment away from a far-left socialist/Marxist ideologue -- or should I say minder? More and more Obama is looking like the Manchurian Candidate.
The Washington Post is reporting ...
"White House Counsel Gregory B. Craig will step down from his post and be replaced by Bob Bauer, a prominent Democratic lawyer who is President Obama's personal attorney, the White House said Friday."
"Bauer, currently a partner at Perkins Coie, will begin his new job by year's end, the White House said. Obama's statement said Bauer is 'well-positioned to lead the Counsel's office as it addresses a wide variety of responsibilities, including managing the large amount of litigation the administration inherited, identifying judicial nominees for the federal courts, and assuring that White House officials continue to be held to the highest legal and ethical standards.'"
Obama's comments are revealing: One, he never misses an opportunity to bash former President Bush and remind the American public of the problems he inherited -- never mentioning the ones that he, himself, created; two, Bauer, a far-left radical activist will continue to insure that the federal court system is further radicalized and consists of the type of ideological crazies which are found in California's Ninth Circus Court; and three, he perpetuates the lie that there is some measure of legal and ethical standards in the Administration -- perhaps when measured against the Clinton White House or Nancy Pelosi's Congress -- but the Administration is demonstrably full of lobbyists (with Obama waivers), tax cheats and other assorted crazies with suspicious backgrounds that should never be in government, let alone the White House.

Anita Dunn, the White House Communications Director who openly professed that she regards MAO as one of her two favorite political guiding philosophers and who openly attacked Fox News is married to Robert Bauer, said to be the personal attorney to Barack Obama, and an expert in election law.
Musical Chairs?
Speculation is running rampant as to the Bauer’s new position –
- White House Counsel? Replacing Greg Craig?
- Will he be replacing someone – possibly at the FEC, the Federal Election Committee which decides on legality of campaign funding actions?
- Will he become the Solicitor General of the United States?
- Could he replace the devil himself, Rahm Emanuel?
Or perhaps he will become the new head of ACORN? (Bauer sent a letter which appears to be defending ACORN and his firm was associated with ACORN on at least one "voting issue" case.)
Right now … only Bauer, Dunn and those in the White House knows for sure … oh yeah, Glenn Beck knows – tipped by an insider?

The final answer will appear here … It's Bauer as White Bouse Counsel! (11/13/09) 10/23/09 GLENN: It's just going to be the chief counsel for the White House. <Source> |
If Glenn Beck is correct, how comforting will it be for Barack Obama to have an ideological friend standing next to him. An attack lawyer used to dealing with tricky issues involving election law. Perhaps giving aid and comfort to Obama should someone tie the Obama campaign to the ACORN voter drive (which produced the non-partisan results of 99.9% democrat voters registered). Or perhaps continuing the fight against those who want to examine Obama's paperwork: birth certificate, school finance records, passport used to travel abroad, the issue of dual citizenship claims, etc. Lots of work to do -- probably much of it for Barack Obama personally.
Can this job be killed by adverse publicity? Who knows? Perhaps Glenn Beck knows?
The phone call that started it all …
What has Bauer done …

But a better question is: What is Bauer likely to do?

He'll be the new green Van Jones czar is my guess.
