Darryl Issa attempts to spin the current ACORN issue into a fundraising attempt; claiming that taxpayers won a major victory through his efforts …
WE WON NOTHING … motions and even the legislation itself mean little or nothing until it is passed by both chambers of Congress and signed into law by the President of the United States. And, if the President chooses, he can issue a signing order telling various federal agencies to ignore the will of Congress.
Here we have Darrel Issa (R-CA) crowing about a non-existing victory and attempting to turn it in to a fundraising issue …

House strips ACORN funds -- Join the fight Taxpayers won a major victory yesterday. A motion I offered on the floor of the House of Representatives to completely strip ACORN of ALL federal funding passed overwhelmingly. ACORN is just one corporate entity. There are literally thousands of entities that are similar to ACORN. While we won a major victory today, we cannot celebrate for long. The 75 Democrats who voted to continue funding ACORN will continue to fight to move the 8.5 Billion dollars that was available to ACORN to new and existing organizations like it. Like the snake that grows a new head or the whack-a-mole game, ACORN will disappear and its organizers will appear again tomorrow at a new organization seeking federal funding. The ultimate battle is for control of Congress, and today's battle was a major blow to Democrats in that war. The American people are starting to see who the Democrats are handing our tax dollars out to, and they don't like it. You can make a difference today by helping me defeat the Democrats who look the other way when a motivated interest group in Congress repeatedly spends your tax dollars to fund criminal and fraud ridden entities like ACORN. By contributing to my campaign, you’ll be supporting Republican challenger candidates who will not only fight against ACORN, but will fight to prevent any organization like ACORN from ever receiving your tax dollars again. Please, make a contribution today. (Click here to donate) |

Want to really make a difference ?
You can’t trust either party – both contain complacent and corrupt politicians that pander to the special interests. It is important to reset the equation by reminding all politicians that they work for “We the People” and not the other way around.
Be well, be safe and take care of yourself and your family first.
