UPDATE (8) 01-21-10 EDWARDS FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGES PATERNITY
Today, John Edwards acknowledged his daughter [Frances] Quinn. Perhaps as a measure to defuse the upcoming book by the sycophant-aide whom he allegedly asked to participate in a charade to fool the American public. In yet another bizzare story, John Edwards was reported to have asked one of his aids to steal one of the baby's diapers for a paternity test.
There is no doubt in my mind that Edwards has become an ego-manical, manipulative bastard and would have really damaged the United States had he been elected President. But considering what we got in President Obama, it's a toss-up with the edge going to Edwards who was never associated with left-wing socialism. More on this story can be found at the New York Times.
UPDATE (7) 08-13-08 LYING TO THE PUBLIC -- AGAIN?
Once again, the National Enquirer continues to pursue the story, this time alleging that John Edwards lied to the public when he participated in a Nightline interview.
"In an interview with ABC's Nightline correspondent Bob Woodruff on Aug. 8, the former North Carolina senator admitted for the first time that he engaged in what he called a "short" extramarital affair with campaign worker Rielle Hunter."
"Edwards told ABC the affair was limited to 2006, before he confessed "the mistake" to wife Elizabeth, 59, who is battling a recurrence of breast cancer."
"But Edwards denied he's the father of Rielle's daughter, who was born on Feb. 27, 2008. The ENQUIRER reported last December that Hunter had told close confidantes that he was the father."
"He lied to his wife Elizabeth, he's lying to Rielle and he lied all the way through his TV interview!"
"After Edwards confessed the affair to his wife, he restarted it, and was sexually involved with Rielle when she became pregnant."
"Despite his denials, Edwards WAS aware that his former finance committee chairman, Fred Baron, was funneling money to Rielle."
"Experts are now calling for a federal investigation into Edwards' use of campaign funds."
And this is a prominent democrat candidate for the presidency and thought to be a vice-presidential candidate. If this is how well they vet their party's candidates or cover-up wrong-doing, what are they hiding about Barack Obama?
UPDATE (6) 08-09-08 THE "POLITICAL TWO-STEP"
Edwards: Of course I am ready and willing to take a DNA test.
Hunter: (through attorney) -- My client is unwilling to take any DNA test and just want her privacy.
Is this what they mean by plausible deniability. And, of course, Edwards confessed about the affair to his wife before any of this was made public. And what is the word of this liar worth in political capital. Probably not much as major democrats seek to distance themselves from the stench without overtly condeming Edwards for partaking in the democrat perks for a rich, well-connected and powerful politician.
UPDATE (5) 08-08-08 EDWARDS ADMITS AFFAIR
As with most damaging news releases, they are published on a Friday and/or when there is other significant news that will blunt the impact of the story. Thus it comes as no surprise that John Edwards admits his affair on a Friday which, not so coincidently happens to be the opening day of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
According to a pre-release by ABC News ...
"John Edwards repeatedly lied during his Presidential campaign about an extramarital affair with a novice filmmaker, the former Senator admitted to ABC News today."
"In an interview for broadcast tonight on Nightline, Edwards told ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff he did have an affair with 44-year old Rielle Hunter, but said that he loved only his wife, Elizabeth."
"Two years ago I made a very serious mistake," Edwards said, blaming the prominence of being a vice presidential candidate. "All of which fed a self-focus, an egotism, a narcissism that leads you to believe that you can do whatever you want," he said.
"Edwards also denied he was the father of Hunter's baby girl, Frances Quinn, although the one-time Democratic Presidential candidate said he has not taken a paternity test. He said he would be happy to take one. Edwards said he knew he was not the father based on timing of the baby's birth on February 27, 2008."
8-08-08 -- Watch more tonight on "World News" at 6:30 p.m. ET and the full interview tonight on "Nightline" at 11:35 p.m. ET
It is believed that he was forced into revealing his secret and correcting the record due to demands of the Democrat party who was prepared to deny him a prominent role in the convention if he did not resolve the National Enquirer allegations. It is believed that Edwards is seeking a position as the Attorney General or other high cabinet office in an Obama Administration. No matter how this matter is ultimately resolved ... Edwards is no longer fit for high office and should be shunned for abandoning his cancer-stricken wife.

UPDATE (4) 07-24-08 WORKING ON THE "COVER" STORY
The New York Post's famed gossip column, Page Six, is reporting in the "WE HEAR" feature ...
"That John Edwards has been having meetings in Los Angeles to find financing for a documentary about poverty along the lines of the film Al Gore made on the climate."
UPDATE (3) 07-22-08 EDWARDS CAUGHT BY ENQUIRER?
According to the National Enquirer ...
"Vice Presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards was caught visiting his mistress and secret love child at 2:40 this morning in a Los Angeles hotel by the NATIONAL ENQUIRER."
"The married ex-senator from North Carolina - whose wife Elizabeth continues to battle cancer -- met with his mistress, blonde divorcée Rielle Hunter, at the Beverly Hilton on Monday night, July 21 - and the NATIONAL ENQUIRER was there! He didn't leave until early the next morning."
UPDATE (2): TRENT LOTT RUMOR
It is also possible that the rumor about the Los Angeles Times holding a "press-ready story" about a politician may regardRepublican Senator Trent Lott who abruptly resigned his office one year into a six year term. The reasons for such resignations from high office almost always involve: a candidate's mental or physical problems, a family problem and personal or professional wrong-doing. Otherwise, the fulfill the term of office as a prestigeous member of Congress with a plethora of perks and privileges.
According to Big Head DC...
"...One of the politicos Big Head DC has learned he’s alleged to have been involved with is the married Sen. Trent Lott, 66, who unexpectedly announced his retirement on Monday. Lott is well-known to have been against a plethora of gay rights issues throughout his terms in Congress. He was also good friends with Sen. Larry Craig throughout his time in Congress."
"Nicholas told Big Head DC today via e-mail that he didn’t want to go on the record to talk about his dealings with Lott, because, said Nicholas, “Trent is going through his fair share of scrutiny right now and I don’t want to add to it.” However, e-mail and other records confirm that the two have met on at least two occasions."
“All I can say at this point is no comment,” Nicholas told us. “It’s the professional thing for me to do.”
“'Here’s my public comment, on-the-record: Sen. Lott and I have no current affiliation with one another. I’m sure he would appreciate no further scrutiny,' Benjamin Nicholas tells Big Head DC."
"In a subsequent e-mail message, Nicholas confirmed that another publication is working on a story about a “possible relationship” between Lott and himself, but Nicholas also “politely declined” an interview for that story."
There is no clarification as to the other publication... which may be the Los Angeles Times or Larry Flynt's Hustler Magazine which apparently is offering $1 million for sexual pecadilloes of Wahington politicians. It is doubtful that it is Flynt's publication as it is unlikely that a gay escort would turn down a $1 million dollar payday to protect a "john."
UPDATE(1): JOHN EDWARDS DENIES TABLOID SCANDAL REPORT...
According to the New York Daily News...
"Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards Thursday vehemently denied a supermarket tabloid's story that he cheated on his wife."
"'It's completely untrue, ridiculous,' Edwards told reporters in Summerton, S.C., after being asked about a National Enquirer story that said he had an affair with a campaign staffer."
"The Enquirer did not name the woman or the source of its information. But the Web site MyDD.com, a political 'direct democracy' forum, posted a statement from Rielle Hunter, a woman who has made a series of short documentaries about the former North Carolina senator."
"'The innuendoes and lies that have appeared on the Internet and in the National Enquirer concerning John Edwards are not true, completely unfounded and ridiculous,' Hunter stated. 'When working for the Edwards camp, my conduct as well as the conduct of my entire team was completely professional. This concocted story is just dirty politics, and I want no part of it.'"
"In rejecting the Enquirer report, Edwards also emphasized his enduring love for his wife, Elizabeth, who is being treated for incurable cancer."
"'I've been in love with the same woman for 30-plus years and, as anybody who's been around us knows, she's an extraordinary human being, warm, loving, beautiful, sexy and as good a person as I have ever known,' Edwards said. 'So the story's just false.'"
The acid test will be if a lawsuit for defamation of character is filed by either party who has allegedly been wronged... or, if a paternity test proves conclusively that Edwards is not the father of Hunter's baby.
BUT THE QUESTION REMAINS: IS THIS THE SCANDAL "PRINT READY" STORY THAT THE LOS ANGELES TIMES ALLEGEDLY HELD? OR IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE TO BE DISCOVERED?

According to Matt Drudge's "Developing" Banner on the www.drudgereport.com ... it seems that the National Enquirer is about to break another major story. Considering the Enquirer's greatly improved investigative reporting, one wonders if this is only a hint of things to come.
A call to Edward's headquarters for confirmation, denial or a prepared release proved fruitless. The staffer who answered the telephone indicated that they were aware of the story, but did not know about any unofficial or official response.
Could this be the major story involving a democratic candidate and a former Senator??? Since this is a breaking story -- details will have to wait!
BUT IS THIS THE ONE?
Reporting on "the original rumor" coverage...
In politics where perception is almost always better than reality, the rumor mill continues to heat up. Drive-time talk radio and the blogosphere is currently claiming that the Los Angeles Times has an article to go -- already written, edited and press-ready -- that allegedly details the sexual peccadilloes of a front-running candidate. Depending on the version, one related to a Senator. Add to that, the erstwhile Larry Flynt (and his $1,000,000 offer) allegedly has the goods on a sitting Senator.
So what is the actual rumor scenario being discussed? Is it the old standard about Hillary being outed as a Lesbian and thereby materially impacting her candidacy? To be replaced in 2008 by a Gore-Bloomberg Ticket that will save the day? Ostensibly because it is bipartisan. Gore, the democrat and Bloomberg the Republican?
So why is the Los Angeles Times sitting on the story? The theory goes that "journalistic ethics" is weighing heavily on the timing of the disclosure. The Times does not want to appear to be influencing an election with their revelation. which is somewhat strange as "everybody" thinks that the elite Washington Press Corp already is "in the know."
"Current thinking" also indicates that the rumor probably concerns a democrat or the Los Angeles Times would not hesitate to release it. A sampling of two such blog entries.
From RonRosenbaum.com...
"Shocking Inside DC Scandal Rumor: A Media Ethics Dilemma"
"So I was down in DC this past weekend and happened to run into a well-connected media person, who told me flatly, unequivocally that “everyone knows” The LA Times was sitting on a story, all wrapped up and ready to go about what is a potentially devastating sexual scandal involving a leading Presidential candidate."
"Now, as I say it’s a rumor; I haven’t seen the supporting evidence. But the person who told me said it offhandedly as if everyone in his world knew about it. And if you look close enough you can find hints of something impending, something potentially derailing to this candidate in the reporting of the campaign. Which could mean that something unspoken, unwritten about is influencing what is written, what we read."
From BigHeadDC...
"We’re still a bit incredulous on this one, but a top level U.S. Department of Justice official is telling Big Head DC that Michael Musto’s rumor about Hillary Clinton fooling around with one of her top female aides Huma Abedin is based in reality!"
“'I am close enough to Hillary and Huma to tell you that this ‘rumor’ is true,' the official says. 'It is well known inside her campaign that Hillary and Huma are an item."
“'If you call Hillary’s residence in DC first thing in the morning, Huma answers the phone,' the official continues. 'Same thing late at night and on the road. It’s a closely guarded secret that Hillary’s inner circle guards at all costs.'”
"Make of that what you will, kids. But know this: The official is someone who has proven highly credible in the past."
Who is Huma Abedin? ...
Perhaps one should require more information about one of the closest people to Hillary Clinton. According to Wikipedia...
"Huma Abedin is an aide to the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton. Media sources describe her as one of Clinton's closest advisers, particularly on issues involving the Middle East, and often comment on her purportedly renowned competence, striking personal appearance, as well as the general confusion regarding details of her personal life.
"Abedin was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan to an Indian father and Pakistani mother, both Muslims. When she was two years old, the family relocated to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Abedin returned to the United States to attend George Washington University."

I don’t understand all the fuss! Why would anyone think that this would hurt his chances for VP nomination? Isn't this what those guys do…..? Clinton set the standard and was elected to two terms. How exciting to know we are in for a change in the White House. After President Bush leaves business will be back to normal….Way to go John!

Thanks for reading my blog entry. I guess the only good think I can say is: as long as they are screwing each other, they aren't screwing the country. -- steve

Everyone in North Carolina knows Edwards has been screwing around with different women for decades. Only blind libtards who think sunshine radiates from the anal cavity of Little John could have been so blind as to not notice. Who knows, maybe they did, and helped to facilitate the affairs. In North Carolina, John Edwards is HATED. For six years he fucked every citizen in the state.

Mo, thanks for reading my blog and giving the readers a heads up from ground zero. It will be interesting to see how the story unfolds.
Already the liberal and far-left media are spinning the story that this is the type of story which blossoms in the underground press and the blogosphere; implying that there are few journalistic standards and no editorial vetting. They do not address the fact that much of what is being discussed may have been already reported by the mainstream press. Like talk radio, one can state their opinion and field responses from all audience members. It is in the conversational process that truths are told and lies are discovered. Primarily why the political elite wants to stiffle both talk radio and the blogosphere.
Even in the light of the indentification of the woman allegedly involved with Edwards, questions remain:
one, will Edwards make a statement that involves the possibility of a paternity test; two, is this the scandal that is allegedly being held in press-ready format by the Los Angeles Times or is there another scandal brewing and three, who released the story to the National Enquirer and was it politically motivated?
Which prompts a final question: is this a distraction from something far more sinister -- like another attempt of a foreign nation to penetrate American politics?
Thanks for your viewpoint. I suggest that readers check out the blog at http://moronsinchapelhill.com -- steve

So it will be Hillary after all.
The demographic winter is coming to the US.
Aging workforce.

Good information on the subject.
Welcome for a visit.
==================================
Thank you for your response and your recommended site on our impending demographic crash.
Have you noticed that the demographic crash, as it is described, is the preferred outcome of the far-left ecologists who believe that man's footprint upon this earth should be greatly diminished by controlling the population?
It is also one of the key factors to the demographic bombing of nations where foreign nationals are able to move in, vote and then take over the entity.
These foreign nations encourage their nationals to have more and more children, even though they cannot adequately support (nurture, feed, finance) them in a satisfactory manner; which burdens the social infrastructure of the host entity.
In the best situation this can be compared to symbiosis where the host and the invasive parasite do no harm to each other and confer some mutual benefit. However, when the parisite starts to consume its host's nourishment to the detriment of the host -- you have a classic example of a cancer.
As for Hillary Clinton, she remains severely flawed divisive. Should each and every democrat drop from the race, there are still the Republicans and Independents. My biggest fear is that the Clintons (including Bill here) only represent a return to chaos, corruption and governmental gridlock at the expense of national defense and our military.
Anyway, thanks for reading my blog entry and responding.
